We are Mark and Suzie and we met many years ago in high school. Suzie is a busy healthcare professional and Mark is a medic for the film studios in Hollywood. We have been going to Big Bear since we were young adults and absolutely love it there. Our children grew up going to the mountains and now our grand daughter is experiencing the joy of being in the mountains. We love the peacefulness and the wildlife that surrounds our mountain home. There is nothing like the family gathered for a summer's barbecue or being together by the fireplace, playing board games on a winter's night. Big Bear is all about making family memories.

Big Bear Lake Brewing Company
Brewhouse with upscale bar food. This is one of our favorites for lunch and dinner. They brew on-site a selection of craft beers and seasonal selections. They have traditional bar foods with a flair, great burgers and sandwiches. Don't miss the Avocado-bomb!

Spring into Fun
As this winter is drawing to a close and spring is nearing, thoughts of gliding down the snowy slopes of our beloved mountain turn to warmer activities. One of those activities that we have done a few times is Zip Lining. Action Tours of Big Bear offers a great afternoon of flying through the trees while dangling from a strap on a steel cable. Freezin' for a Reason
On March 2nd there is a charity fund raiser to support the Special Olympics. Come take the Polar Plunge into Big Bear Lake to help support this great cause. Test your mettle and see if you can brave the cold waters of our wonderful winter lake and help support these great kids. Or if you prefer to stay warm and dry you may sponsor a Polar Plunger or just donate. So far there is over $26,000 being raised

Be smart and be safe when coming up the mountain
Traffic conditions vary throughout the year and it is important to heed signage and directions from Caltrans and the CHP. In the winter you are required to carry chains at all times in your vehicle. This is not only a smart thing to do, but if you come across a chain check point and do not have chains with you CHP will not let you continue.This can greatly impact your travels and enjoyment of your time in the mountains.

Queen Nation is coming to Big Bear, CA
Queen Nation the premier Queen tribute band is coming to the Cave in Big Bear March 02. We absolutely love this band! We have seen them 5 times and they never disappoint. They are talented musicians who not only do justice to the music of Queen but they also assume their stage personas. Come out to see them and have a rocking good time.

Massages in Big Bear, CA
We love this place as Daniel has great hands and is highly skilled at many modalities. He comes to our cabin or will see you at his shoppe on Moonridge blvd. His prices are very reasonable and he does sports therapy. Daniel is a fixture at our mountain biking events on the mountain. He has a very zen aura to him. In the summer months Daniel will set up his table on our upper deck so we can have our massages in the shade of our trees and the fresh mountain air.

Our favorite coffee house in Big Bear, CA
Moonridge Coffee House is by far our favorite coffee place on the mountain. They are just a quick drive down to lower Moonridge on the right hand side of Moonridge road. Get your coffee and sit by the fire in a log cabin setting. Great espresso, lattes, and locally made pasteries makes Moonridge Coffee Company our go to place. There are also a few Starbucks in town, one inside Vons, and a full store in the Vons parking lots.
