A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT THIS CABIN AND SEASONALITY:

The Ranch Hand Cabin is the only insulated cabin at The Hohnstead, which means it’s the only cabin open during our quieter shoulder seasons — April, May, October, and November.

During these months, guests often enjoy:

Being the only guests on the property

Extra peace and quiet

Private access to shared amenities, including the Commons Area and hot tub

A slower, more intimate experience of the land


MINIMUM STAYS:

Shoulder season (April, May, October, November): 1-night minimum

High season (June–September): 2-night minimum

The Ranch Hand Cabin is intentionally simple and thoughtfully equipped:

Coffee & tea setup with fresh water provided

Romantic 2-seater hot tub, shared with other guests (1-hour sign-up system during high season)

Over 100 acres of private land to explore, hike, and wander

Seasonal solar showers and enclosed outdoor bathrooms, a short walk from the cabin

A FEW IMPORTANT DETAILS:

The bathroom is a short 1-minute walk to an enclosed outdoor facility

Solar showers are weather-dependent and heated by the sun

Wildlife is part of mountain life — deer, elk, bears, bugs, and the occasional curious mouse may pass through

No outdoor fires outside the shared propane fire pit

Pets are welcome with an additional cleaning charge ($50 per pet, 2-pet max); pets must be friendly and well-behaved

Liability waiver required for all guests (signed at check-in in the Commons Area)


HOSTING STYLE

We’re nearby when you need us and happy to give you space when you don’t. You’re welcome to a personal welcome or to self check-in and explore at your own pace — the property is well marked, and we’re always close if something comes up.
