About this place

A Cozy Forest Cabin for Hiking Days & Hot Tub Nights — Near Missoula

The Shed Cabin is a cozy, comfort-forward forest retreat for guests who want the magic of The Hohnstead—with a few extra creature comforts. Set on over 100 forested acres just 15 minutes from KettleHouse Amphitheater and 25 minutes from Missoula, this cabin is ideal for those who love nature by day and a warm, powered space to unwind at night.

Tucked beside the Commons Area and connected by one shared wall, The Shed offers easy access to shared amenities while still feeling private and peaceful. With a queen bed, WiFi, AC power, air conditioning, and a TV, it’s a great choice for guests who want to unplug selectively—think hikes, hot tub soaks, and stargazing balanced with movie nights and a cool cabin to return to.

INSIDE THE SHED CABIN:

• Queen bed
• WiFi and full AC power
• Air conditioning
• TV
• Mini fridge and coffee maker
• Garden, forest, and mountain views
• Outdoor bench, hammock chair, and hammock
• Books and games
• Free parking nearby

SHARED AMENITIES:

• Guest-shared hot tub under the stars (1-hour sign-up board)
• Commons Area Lounge with full kitchen, WiFi, dining & lounging spaces
• Centrally located fire pit (propane during fire ban season)
• Solar showers and enclosed outdoor bathrooms (short walk from cabin)
• Over 100 acres of private land to hike and explore
• Scavenger Hunt, outdoor games, and seasonal activities

IS THE SHED CABIN RIGHT FOR YOU?

This cabin is perfect for you if you:
• Want a cozy forest stay with power, WiFi, and AC
• Love being close to shared amenities and social spaces
• Enjoy hiking, stargazing, and evenings winding down with a movie
• Want an easy, comfortable introduction to off-grid-style glamping

This cabin may not be the best fit if you:
• Are looking for total seclusion far from shared spaces
• Prefer fully private bathrooms attached to your cabin
• Want a luxury hotel-style experience

The Shed blends forest living with a few modern comforts—simple, relaxed, and intentionally slower than city life.

A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Pet-friendly: $50 per pet per stay (2 pets max). We ask that dogs are well-behaved and comfortable around other guests and pets.
• Guests are required to sign a liability waiver upon check-in (available in the Commons Area).
• The enclosed outdoor bathroom is a short 1-minute walk from the cabin.
• Solar showers are weather-dependent and heat naturally with the sun.

If you’re looking for a peaceful forest stay with the comfort of power, air conditioning, and a cozy place to land after a day outdoors, we’d love to host you in The Shed at The Hohnstead Glamping Cabins.

Hey! We're Garrett and Alla and we're excited to host you at the Hohnstead!
When we're not designing the next Scavenger Hunt for our guests, sharing stories by the campfire, or hanging out in the hot tub, Garrett loves to brew beer, play hockey, and lift weights, while Alla loves to do yoga, photograph The Hohnstead and its visitors, and brew Kombucha (flavor of the moment Hibiscus-Lavender). Together we built the Hohnstead from the ground up, creating the jobs and lifestyle we love and we're excited to share with you, helping you to Reconnect to Nature and to each other!
