Selkies' Rest offers a gourmet kitchen, 4 decks/porches (all with water views), a hot tub, jacuzzi, clawfoot tub, and luxury glass shower. This cozy cottage has 1400 efficient square feet of indoor space on three levels:

1st: guest suite (QUEEN) and home office (FULL futon, CHILD ottoman cot)

2nd: kitchen, dining, and living room (FULL Sofabed, CHILD ottoman cot)

3rd: 2 bedrooms with large luxury bath (QUEEN; 2 TWIN)

EXTRA GUESTS/VISITORS:

Fee includes up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. ALL extra guests (including day visitors) must be registered, paid, and named on booking. For insurance/liability reasons, NOBODY else may visit (even the yard) during your stay (immediate cancellation/no refund).

Getting around

Depending on your mobility, we are walking distance (.4 mi) from the ferry, but you can also bring a car, rent a bike, or rent a golf cart while you are here. Please note car ferries are very crowded in the summer and don't take reservations, so bringing your car will add complexity and wait times on both end. Off-street parking at the cottage is limited to 1 car, and on-street parking is at your own risk.

Peaks Island ferries (operated by Casco Bay Lines) leave from 56 Commercial St in downtown Portland Maine. Car ferries are available, but you can also long term park in Portland and taxi, bike, or walk to the ferry and board as a pedestrian or cyclist. See the Casco Bay Lines website for full information, schedules, and ticket prices. Water Taxis are also available - see house manual for numbers.

You can also take the Amtrak Downeaster from North Station in Boston to Portland, and taxi to the ferry from the train station.
