The dream cabin was just that--an absolute dream! The interior is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Access was easy with self check in. Owners are incredibly friendly and accessible if need be, but never intrusive...there if you need them and invisible if you don't. Cabin has excellent amenities: garage for parking, king size bed and plenty of space to store what you've brought with you; working fireplace; big screen TV; board games; walk in shower; every kitchen utensil you'd ever think to use, including...a waffle maker! The king size bed downstairs is a cloud, and the upstairs loft is very cozy and great for the kids or the other friends you bring along. Artwork is clever and adds to the whole feel. It's very quiet, and when you look out the windows, all you see are the surrounding trees. Location is very convenient for a number of day trips. It's about about a 15-20 minute drive to North Conway, the hub of the beautiful White Mountains. We also spent time in the very cute nearby town of Bridgeton, ME, filled with cafes, shops, and nature walks. And Portland and the Maine coast is only just over an hour drive away. We had a great time and would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

The place was perfect for our two families. The basement was a big hit for everyone. Great mud room for when we came in from the snow and a nice pool table that got a lot of use all weekend. The kids had fun sledding in the back yard and the adults enjoyed using the snow shoes that were provided. We lost power on Sunday morning but the generator kicked on in about 30 seconds and we went back to enjoying our breakfast like nothing happened. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, even a crockpot. We didnt get to ski due to bad weather but we did get to snowmobile, right from the house as advertised. The trails are literally right there, and all the trail signs in the area point to Canal bridge, which you can see from the back yard, so it was very easy to navigate home even without GPS. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay on their winter adventures.
Our family of three had a lovely 2+ week stay at “The Cabin” in Fryeburg. The home is surprisingly roomy with a comfortable living area, kitchen, queen bedroom, and a full bathroom with shower on the main level. In the basement, there is a second queen bedroom and a 1/2 bath as well as the TV room, play area and full-size washer and dryer. We lucked out with the weather and didn’t need to turn on the window-unit air conditioners until the last two days of our stay, but when we did they kept the main level nice and cool. The downstairs seems to stays at a consistently comfortable and cool temperature, even during 90+ degree days. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything that we needed during our long stay (including sharp knives - so rare in a AirBnB!). All the appliances are new and everything worked well. There are even two coffee options - traditional drip and K-Cup. Although we didn’t have a chance to use them, there is a grill, a fire pit, a picnic table and Adirondack chairs out back. The two adults had to work a bit during our stay and the WiFi was robust enough to handle our video calls, and our child’s streaming activity (200+ MB/s when I tested). The home is conveniently located near the Fryburg Fairgrounds, several Saco River launch sites and beaches, numerous hiking trails, and all that Western Maine has to offer. North Conway, Mount Washington and several ski resorts are also nearby. Jeremy was very responsive whenever we had questions. We can strongly recommend “The Cabin” for your next stay in the area.
Perfect location for my family of 8 adults and 2 dogs to get away and relax. large yard, firepit and oversized deck for entertaining all of us. I know it says Lovewell Pond, but it is a very large pond/lake. We Kayaked, canoed, paddle boarded and floated on tubes. We also brought a Jet Ski which was fun to check out the whole place. When it rained, we had plenty of space inside for ALL of us to relax and play games. Lots of amenities provided. If the view out the windows weren't beautiful enough the inside of the house is just as lovely!
This was a beautiful spot. We loved the little table in the living room, which was filled with games and infant toys. There were outlet covers and reasonably kid proofed so we could let our baby crawl around. The view was beautiful, rooms were clean, and the space was nicely decorated. There were kayaks, fire wood, a wood burning fire place, and fire pit outside. We didn’t have much time, but if we’d spent a few days here, it would have been neat to take advantage. The view is definitely the selling point. Mountains surrounding a lake, boats every so often, miss coming up from the water. It was just a very nice little slice of mountainous Maine.
This is the third property we have rented from Jeremiah and Lissette and it was an awesome experience yet again. The house was as always, super clean upon arrival and had everything we needed. We were looking for something quiet and secluded yet still close to lakes and quaint towns. The porch off of the living room is so peaceful and relaxing. We spent our nights by the fire pit and mornings on the porch. We even had dinner in the gazebo! We were pleasantly surprised by fast Internet being out in the woods so I was actually able to work a little bit on our trip. It was a five star experience all around and we can't wait to try another one of their properties.
Jeremiah and Lisseth did a great job providing clear information and instructions as well as quick responses to any communication we sent. October Farm is a great historic farmhouse in a beautiful, peaceful setting with amenities of a modern house. The mini-split AC units upstairs and downstairs ensure you will not be uncomfortable even if there is a heat wave. We slept in the front queen-sized bed and although I have a bad back, the mattress was comfortable for the week we spent there. We really appreciated the items in the pantry that minimized what we had to get at the grocery store. The WiFi was reliable. The only issue we had was our lack of cell phone service, which of course has nothing to do with the house and was what we experienced in all but the centers of towns in Maine. We highly recommend this vacation home. Although we did not bring pets, we always appreciate homeowners such as this one being willing to allow pets.
