A completely secluded hot tub and gorgeous views overlooking Ober Mountain & Gatlinburg await at “Grin and Bear It”, a lovely mountain chalet nestled among the mountains and trees.

Close to town yet above it all, the chalet is located in Chalet Village, a resort community, offering that tucked-away, private feel while still being just 15 minutes from downtown and 5 minutes from Ober Mountain Ski Resort.

Your stay also includes access to three Chalet Village clubhouses with seasonal pools, a fitness center, tennis courts, and game rooms.

As you enter the chalet, the bright and airy decor and the views from the windows welcome you to your Smoky Mountain retreat.

Delight in the comfort and coziness of the family room; with its comfortable seating, sleep sofa, lovely fireplace, and charming mountain decor.

The cooks among you will enjoy our well equipped kitchen which is open to the dining room.

As an added bonus you can unwind in the steaming hot tub on the back deck while admiring the beautiful views. Enjoy the seclusion, peace and privacy of this glorious spot as you admire Ober Mountain and overlook Gatlinburg.

Waking up to the mountains every morning will never disappoint. The view from any room in the house is great, especially from the Master bedroom’s King bed upstairs. With vaulted ceilings soaring above you, it is a delightful world of your own. At night you can see the stars and the city lit up on the mountainside twinkling and far in the distance overlooking Gatlinburg city. Leaving the blinds open or heading out to the upstairs deck will wow you.

When you return from your day of excursions our chalet is a wonderful oasis for you to enjoy and socialize. Envision coming home to the chalet after experiencing the beauty and splendor of the Great Smoky Mountains. The glow of the fireplace casts a dreamlike ambiance. Surrounded by your friends and loved ones, you sip hot chocolate or your favorite refreshment while you reminisce, laugh, and reconnect. This is where memories are made.

We want our chalet to be a place for you to relax, rejuvenate, and renew your spirit. This is your vacation. With you in mind we designed “Grin and Bear It” as an affordable and comfortable retreat. We’ve included modern amenities so that your experience will be carefree and enjoyable.

You'll feel like you are a part of the mountains staying here, yet with all the comforts of home. You might even see a few bears. Soak up the delicious views from the hot tub, the many windows inside or the two decks outside. The solitude and sounds of nature will be just what you need, and the close proximity to Gatlinburg makes this the perfect getaway. This lovely chalet will make you feel like you're on the top of the world, and the views are definitely worth the climb.

Perched up in Chalet Village, we're right by the beautiful Smoky Mountains National Park. Get ready for an exhilarating drive up winding, steep roads toward the end of your journey. But once you arrive, you'll be welcomed by breathtaking views that make the trip totally worth it. (Our favorite views are from the upstairs bedroom and adjoining deck at night.)

And since we're so close to the park, spotting bears around here is pretty normal.

We're five minutes from Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort.

The chalet is in a resort community and maintains that highly sought after "tucked away" and private feel. The chalet allows for both relaxation and a set up perfect for entertaining and fun.

Nestled in Chalet Village's picturesque mountains, anticipate winding roads that reward with breathtaking views and a five minute drive to Gatlinburg’s ski resort, Ober Mountain. While our driveway is steep, it's easily navigated in 1st gear. Any car suffices in fair weather. During winter, opt for a dependable 4x4 vehicle or chains for snowy escapades.

Provided with your stay is a complimentary Chalet Village Owner's Club pass which allows you to utilize all 3 clubhouses, seasonal pools, tennis courts, gym, various games and get discounts at certain locations in the Smokies.

You'll have some mountain roads for 5 minutes (we are 5 minutes from Ober Mountain Adventure Park and Ski Area) and we do have a steep driveway with flat parking up top to fit 2 cars. Any car can make it (during Dec, Jan and Feb 4 wheel drive or chains recommended.)
