We are located 8 miles up the beach from the end of highway 12 and ACCESSIBLE BY 4WD ONLY. Due to the uniqueness of this area we suggest you contact the homeowners prior to booking. Carova Beach is one of the last remaining beaches on the Atlantic Coast that seems to have been lost in time. Come experience Life On The Island. Home to about 200 year round residents and the Corolla Wild Horses, it is a place where everyone knows each other and lives by the changing tides. Watching the wild horses strolling across the sand dunes and stopping to graze on sea oats is just another day in paradise here on Carova. It always fills me with a certain" peace" and "awe" when the dolphins swim up and down the ocean, jumping and splashing. Strolling along the beach to find sand dollars and whelks left from the changing tides is another favorite pass time here on the beach. Be sure to take a dip in that beautiful green Carolina Sea where any worries and stress you may have brought with you are completely washed away. Rise early one morning to watch the sunrise over the ocean, enjoy the brilliant red sunsets over the sound, then look up to see a beautiful star filled Carolina night sky. And as you -lay your head on the pillow at the day's end, let the ocean sing you to sleep.

We offer all our guests use of our ocean kayak (see if the dolphins will swim along with you) and take the canoe out through the canals just before dusk and enjoy the horses, deer, blue herons and so much more. The ocean views from the upper deck and the ship's watch beckon you to stay and lose yourself in the enchantment of these beautiful beaches. The top floor has an elevated ship's watch with hardwood floors and fantastic ocean views. The great room opens to wrap around decks with ocean to sound side views.

After you finish watching the horses and dolphins, take a stroll along False Cape State Park to shell for sand dollars and whelks and enjoy the natural beauty of the undisturbed beaches. Try your luck at surf fishing and crabbing or enjoy just sitting and watching the pelicans fish. Spend the day shopping in Timbuck II or in the town of Duck then enjoy one of their many fine restaurants or cook your own delicious dinner or sauté fresh caught fish on the grill. Climb the Currituck Light House. Take a drive South on Highway 12 to Hatteras Island and Hatteras Lighthouse and enjoy the over 70 miles of undeveloped National Seashore.

Continue south and ride the ferry to Ocracoke Island. Visit Roanoke Island and the North Carolina Aquarium. Take a chartered fishing trip from Oregon Inlet, known for some of the best fishing along the Atlantic Coastline. Play a round of golf at the Currituck Club. Or just relax on the beach or by the poolside and soak up the day. Don't forget to watch the absolutely beautiful sunset over the sound before you look up to see the milkyway in the Carolina night sky and then let the ocean sing you to sleep.

An extra large kitchen offers two dishwashers and is fully stocked with all amenities. The second floor has four bedrooms. The two masters opening to wrap around decks with two porch swings. The bottom level has one bedroom with full bath, a game room with a pool table and kitchenette. Outside, enjoy a large private pool and hot tub. Wish upon a shooting star while enjoying an evening in the hot tub. Come stay awhile and you will fall in love!
