Upper Level:
- Two bedrooms and a full bath.
- Full kitchen with newer stainless appliances & plenty of storage/prep space.
- Dining room open to living room with vaulted ceiling, large lakefront windows & patio doors to upper deck with a flight of stairs leading down to the backyard and lake.
Lower level:
- One bedroom (king sized bed) with a full bathroom.
- Family room space with futon plus walk out to lower deck/backyard.
Backyard:
- Large private area with a firepit.
- Pier with a swim ladder and space to dock your own boat.
Lake:
- The lake is NO WAKE at all times.
- Fish present in the lake are panfish (bluegill, crappie, perch), bass, and northern pike.
- The water area is shoreland zoned by the DNR so there is no sand beach area.
- The water is clean/clear but bottom is soft muck.
- We have a ladder for the pier and it is a great area to swim off the end of the pier or float on tube rafts (water temperature in summer is 76-82 degrees), however, if a sand beach or being able to stand on the lake bottom is important to you, this may not be the greatest rental for you.
We think you'll have plenty of activities to enjoy your stay without even leaving the property but if you would like to venture out, there are numerous great attractions in the area:
- Local bars and restaurants in Oxford
- Fawn Creek Winery
- Wisconsin Dells Area
- Amish neighborhoods
- Hiking trails
You will have access to the entire property except for the locked basement workshop, garage, backyard shed, and boat (guests are welcome to bring their own boat and dock at the pier).
We live in the area but will not be on the property during your stay. We will be available to message or talk just about any time you have a question. We do our best to make sure you're accommodated and enjoy your experience!
Our cabin is located on a half-mile long, dead end road. There is very little traffic and it's all residential. Around half of the houses in the neighborhood or vacation houses which may or may not be occupied during your stay. Those in the neighborhood who are around are friendly and I'm sure will greet you with a smile and a wave.
The dead end road is great for a morning/evening walk or for the kids to bike around. Anything more than that will require a car ride into town or to any of the larger area trails.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Although no dogs are allowed for rentals, we do have a resident dog that accompanies us when we stay. The house is cleaned after each and every stay but some dog dander may still linger so this may not be the best place for someone with severe allergies to dogs. Due to the nature of dogs, you may find a stray hair or two.
- Occupancy/Visitors: The maximum number of persons allowed to stay in the Property at any time (no visitors without prior approval) is limited to eight. The Guest affirms that he/she is over twenty-two (22) years of age and minors will not occupy the property unless an adult is present. Unreasonable noise or disturbance by the Guest may result in cancellation of reservation without refund
- Check-out: Guest agrees to complete all check-out items below. Failure to complete checkout items or leaving property in condition that requires excessive cleaning may result additional cleaning fees.
* Please return everything to where they were and leave the place looking as when you arrived.
* Strip any used beds and place sheets at foot of bed.
* Load and start dishwasher. Wash any remaining dishes and place in drying rack.
* Take trash/recycling out to bins next to garage.
* Turn off the lights, close all windows, lock all doors (ESPECIALLY PATIO DOOR).
- Late checkout fee of $50 will apply. If Rental Party are still on property after two hours, they will be accessed a penalty equal to that day's base rate with no discount. This does not award guest possession of property for an additional day.
- You must PUT OUT CAMPFIRE WHEN FINISHED. Do not start fire on windy days. Only outdoor chairs allowed around fire.
