This guest suite is for the solo traveler who wants a furnished, well appointed suite and not have to worry about linens or moving in anything besides their clothes. I am an interior designer who specializes in small spaces, and I have created a uniquely designed space for you, in a separate wing of the large house, which includes a queen size bedroom, large private bathroom with tub and shower, plus a large room that serves as the kitchenette, dining room and living room. Each room has a closet and plenty of storage, dressers, desks, good lighting, ceiling fans, and a portable air conditioner upon request when if gets hot outside in the summer. Ocean breezes keep the place cool.

I will accept a small dog in this unit and I have a doggie door so your dog can go in and out as he or she pleases.

When you arrive, you need only your clothes and food. I have provided all the kitchen equipment, linens, towels, and bathroom accessories, and a soft terry robe, everything you could possibly need. Every detail has been taken care of for you. When looking for a temporary home, some things you just don't want to sacrifice; a magnificent bed that is comfortable and clean, a deep bathtub where you can have long luxurious soaks, and a well appointed living space with a comfy overstuffed chair and ottoman. You will also enjoy a television in each room, with access to cable TV, I pay for and you can watch Netflix, Apple +, Amazon Prime, and Disney +.

The kitchenette includes a classic dining table, comfy office chair for computer work, floor to ceiling storage pantry for your food, an apartment size LG refrigerator with freezer and a kitchen area with sink in which you can cook a meal. Your induction stove top can quickly cook your meal with provided stainless steel pots and pans. You can put the induction stove top away in a drawer when you are finished. An air fryer is available upon request. There are two desks, one in the bedroom and you can use the dining room table for computer work with uninterrupted internet at a blazing speed. You have access to two washers and two dryers in the garage with access from 9 AM to 9 PM which includes laundry soap, OxiClean, and bleach.

You will park on the driveway just steps away from your private entrance. You have two outdoor patios, each with dining tables and chairs, lounge chairs, BBQ, outdoor sink and cooking area, all with an outstanding view of Carlsbad.

This Carlsbad home would be perfect for a person who may experience a job relocation, internship, traveling executive, college or GIA students 21 and over. You may need a place to stay because you need a second home to escape heat or cold in your primary residence, or you are new in town or have sold your home, and are looking to buy a new home. You will be safe in this home. There is a camera security system surrounding the perimeter of the property. Although I have never needed it, it is reassuring that it is there.

Your private wing is on one side of the property. You can enjoy the professionally designed and landscaped and lighted property which has its own beach /sand area, water fountain, meditation area, and hammocks to enjoy the coastal weather.

I am looking for a clean, very quiet, mature, non-smoking person who would appreciate high-end accommodations for as long as you are happy. I am delighted to accept a long term guest with a month-to-month agreement. Depart anytime with a 30 day notice.

You have access to your guest suite, the garage area for your laundry needs, the front yard with beach, the back and side private patios. If you need access to the main kitchen, just let me know.

I leave interacting with my guests up to them.

The home is located in a suburb of north-east Carlsbad, less than 3 miles from the beach. Located on a quiet cup-de-sac street with only 12 homes, there is little noise to disturb you. The neighborhood is upscale, and the neighbors are mostly older singles and middle aged families.

Most people in Carlsbad own or lease a car. Public transportation is not the best, as the buses run hourly. There is a bus stop at the end of the street that will take to you the train station just a couple of miles away, or up or down the coast.

Most guests who do not have cars rent from TURO dot com. One can also use Uber or Lyft, the ride sharing apps. A car can be here in minutes to take you anywhere.

The house is located within walking distance to the grocery stores, 12 flex movie theater, 24-hour fitness, many restaurants and coffee shops. Each is less than one mile way, about a 10 minute walk. But keep in mind, I live on a hill, and coming home is harder than getting there!

Please respect that this is a non smoking, non-vaping, no drug property.

There is no noise after 10. No parties. Your guests must leave at 10 PM.

Sorry, I cannot accept couples without an additional fee. Rare overnight guest is $25 per night with prior permission only. If you are in a relationship and want your significant other to spend the night, this is not an appropriate permanent place.

Housekeeper deep cleans every five weeks and is included in the price of the guest suite.

Lease Agreement

Because your reservation is 31 days or more, Wendee Mason, the Host, a licensed real estate broker, will send via your personal email, a California month-to-month lease rental agreement with the EXACT terms of the Airbnb reservation for your review and signature. Please call if you have questions about the standard California monthly lease agreement terms.

House Instructions

An advance copy of the house instructions and Guest information sheet will also be sent for your review, as a part of the lease agreement. The information sheet with medical emergency information must be filled out when you arrive. A copy of of your driver's license will be needed as well as a selfie for the guest memory book.

Pets

The pet policy will be sent in advance via email to be reviewed and signed.

Identity Check

Airbnb policy prohibits one person making a reservation in another person’s name. I will not accept reservations for others; such as siblings, husbands, wives, older parents or children. Each Guest must have their own profile, and match the identity of the person staying at the guest suite.

Outdoor security cameras are on the building for everyone's safety and cannot be removed.

Minimum age to reserve is 21 with good prior Airbnb referrals. Students under the age of 21 need additional deposit with parental guarantee and signature on the lease agreement.
