Answers to frequently asked questions:

-We do not allow pets

-No UTVs, but golf carts are okay.

-No outside firewood to prevent oak rot. We have big, beautiful oak trees that are irreplaceable, and we don’t want them to die.

-The Riv is located 5 minutes south of Camp Wood, Texas on Highway 55.

-Sleeping arrangements:

3 bedrooms (Room 1: king bed with an en suite bathroom, Room 2: king bed, Room 3: two twin beds) and a living room (one daybed with a pullout bed).

2 bathrooms (En suite bathroom with a walk-in shower connected to Room 1. Common bathroom with tub insert shower between Rooms 2 and 3.

-We provide all linens and towels...even towels for the river, as well as body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.

-The kitchen is stocked with kitchenware: utensils, plates, cups, pots/pans, dish soap, etc. (there is not a dish washing machine), and coffee makers (one Keurig and one traditional coffee maker). We provide K cups, but please bring your own coffee filters if you prefer to use the traditional coffee maker.

-Refrigerator and freezer (there is not an ice maker)

-Microwave, oven/range

-Each cabin has a propane bbq and a wood bbq on the patio (bring your own charcoal or use our mesquite firewood we have for sale).

-Must be 21 years old to reserve and an adult must be present during the rental period.

-MAXIMUM of 8 tenants per cabin. Children do count toward the maximum of 8.

-Only tenants of The Riv cabins are allowed on the property and have access to the river.

-Fire pits are on site. Firewood can be purchased from us as you request it.

-The cabins are only about 100 yards from the river.

-You can rent kayaks, paddle boards , and tubes from us. First come first served, since we have limited amounts.

-You can reserve one of our three riverfront pavilions or one of our two private docks. First come first served, since quantities are limited. When reserving, you can specify which pavilion or dock you want, or one will be assigned.

-You can rent the entire resort (6 cabins, 2 lodges, 2 cottages) for full privacy or you can rent them individually. Contact us if you would like to add more than one building.

Guest access

-River access is a short walk, about 100 yards, from the cabins.

-There is a common loading and unloading section for kayaks, paddle boards, and tubes.

-River access is for The Riv guests only.

-We have a large field next to the basketball and pickleball courts for you to enjoy (free to use and we do provide the basketballs and pickle ball equipment). We also have a shady, grassy area between the pavilions and private docks that is common access.

Kayaking , paddle boarding, tubing, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, basketball, and pickle ball.

It is recommended to bring your own snorkeling equipment since the water is so clear!
