Whale Watching near Rockaway Beach, OR
A special program called Whale Watching Spoken Here places volunteers at selected sites along the coast during the last week of March and the week between Christmas and New Years. A third week was added in 2004 during the last week of August through Labor Day, but volunteers are focused along the central coast during this time.

Nearby Groceries when staying in Rockaway Beach
The closest is RB Little Store, about a 5 minute drive south. They have a small snack selection, wine, and a cute deli where they serve warm, home-cooked food. They also offer takeout.

Helpful tips
In case of a power outage, we have emergency flashlights upstairs and downstairs that should light up automatically. There are also extra blankets in the ottoman at the foot of the King bed and in the closet under the stairs. You can contact PGE for updates: 800-544-1795
