Step-by-Step Guide: Linking Stripe Accounts to Properties
1. Log in to Your Houfy Account
Go to the Houfy homepage and log in using your credentials.
2. Open your payout settings
The page has two sections you will use: Connected Payout methods and Payout routing rules.
3. Create a Stripe Account for Each Property
For each property, set up a unique Stripe account. Visit Stripe to create a new account, ensuring that you use distinct details for each property.
Tip: Customize the Statement Descriptor in Stripe to reflect the property name. This ensures clarity on guest credit card statements (e.g., "Camp Coral").
4. Link the Stripe Account to the Property on Houfy
On https://www.houfy.com/settings/payment-settings, under Connected Payout methods, click Connect Stripe.
Sign in with the Stripe account for that property and approve the connection.
Repeat once per Stripe account.
5. Set Up Routing Rules
Scroll to Payout routing rules and click Add payout routing rule.
Set Listing to the property and Route to the Stripe account for it.
Click Save.
6. Verify and Save
Check that the listing now shows the right Stripe account next to it.
A listing with no routing rule is paid to your default payout method, so add a rule for every property you do not want going to the default.
