Moe's Original BBQ

Moe's Original BBQ is a popular barbeque franchise with locations in Forest City, Hendersonville, and Asheville, NC.  The Forest City location is right on downtown E. Main Street.  There are no servers here; the atmosphere is very casual, and meals are served in plastic baskets and small plastic cups. When you walk in, you will order at the cash register, and then choose a table.  Your name will be called when your order is ready.  Moe's Original BBQ menu is very simple:  sandwich meals come with two sides and a drink; platter meals come with two sides, a drink, and a slice of seared cornbread.  Takeout is also available. 

Main meats include pulled pork, ribs, smoked chicken and chicken wings, smoked turkey, and fried catfish.  Side items may vary, but include:  potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, red beans and rice, collard greens, banana pudding, and chocolate mud pie.  A favorite menu item is the fried shrimp Moe Boy sandwich. Customers love this franchise and rave about the seared cornbread!

Moe's Original Bar B Que was founded by three Alabama boys: Ben Gilbert from Athens, Mike Fernandez from Tuscaloosa, and Jeff Kennedy from Huntsville. After meeting at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, they instantly became friends and had a mutual interest in all things Southern: BBQ, blues, college football, and whisky.
