North Charleston vacation rentals

Beautiful, spacious home with plenty of room for my family. Tastefully decorated and very clean, comfortable beds with the softest bedding too. Two parking spaces were much needed. That dining room table was the best! We really enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed a girlfriend getaway to the Charleston area and were delighted with our accommodations. The Big Chill is located on a tidal river in Mt. Pleasant, just across the stunning Ravenel bridge from Charleston. You can be in downtown Charleston in about 10 minutes or less and at Sullivan's Island in about 15 minutes (depending on traffic). Good restaurants and excellent grocery options are within easy access. We shopped and cooked several times, not just because it's less expensive but because we were a group of foodie chefalas who enjoy cooking, especially in a well-stocked, beautiful kitchen. The Big Chill has this! There wasn't anything we couldn't find, except maybe some storage containers and ziplock bags. The beds were all comfie and had great pillows. I enjoyed the big, old fashioned tub and the rain shower in the pebbled shower. The owner's are on-sight in the garage apartment, which might be a downer for some. When I couldn't get the wifi on my phone it ended up being an advantage to have the owners nearby. They were great about making recommendations of things to do and places to eat, too. There is an extra bedroom and laundry room off the kitchen that comes with an additional expense and our size group did not need it. However, I would have liked to had been able to use the laundry facilities, especially since I went kayaking and got my clothes wet. Speaking of kayaking, The Big Chill is on the water and has a dock and chairs for enjoying the mornings or sunset. They have two kayaks for use as well. I took a kayak out at the perfect time in the late afternoon - the water was like glass and the birds were out. We didn't have very good weather so I was happy I got at least one go in the kayak. Next time, and yes, I'd go back, I'd like to enjoy the decks and docks when they aren't wet from rain and when the weather is a bit warmer. Still, it was a lovely stay in a beautiful home. Oh, would like a bit earlier check in! 4 p.m. is late for me.

This has been an unique experience. This host is exceptional. I see her vision for this particular Airbnb and I respect how hard she works to make everything flow. I will definitely be coming back around soon and I highly recommend to every booker that sees this, at the very least, give it a chance. The price is unmatched. The location is close enough to get to anywhere else in Charleston within 13 mins of driving. You have an opportunity to meet people from all over the world. It really does check all the boxes.

The house was great. The only reason I gave it four stars in the “online listing” listing is because of the kitchen. It does state that it’s a kitchenette but including explicit verbiage in the actual listing that it does NOT include a stove or oven and it only has a tiny microwave would have been helpful. We probably still would have stayed there but it would have been nice to know in advance. The location is not the best part of town but we didn’t feel unsafe.

The home was great, the area was scenic with lots of local attractions and most of all my family of 10 that included my mom and grandkids enjoyed every moment. A great weekend family getaway, PS.. 3 floors and the kids enjoyed playing hide and seek😊

Our 7th child was graduating from the College of Charleston and our family needed a place to stay for a long weekend. There was nothing large enough downtown and the beach homes were a week long stay minimum and very expensive! I booked 5 rooms at a local hotel on Mt. Pleasant and decided to check homes in that area. I found 2 homes owned by the same couple but the dates were blocked. I emailed them and said if either became available would they let me know. I got a quick response that one was a new rental and the pool was not finished but was supposed to be that week. I said I didn't care. And so we were lucky enough to be the first family to use the pool because they went over and beyond to get it done. I canceled the hotel rooms and our family arrived last Thursday to an immaculate , comfortable, well supplied home that was perfect for our large family. My husband and I took the huge master with gorgeous bath. My daughter and her husband took the other master with their 3 children who all had beds! The rest of our adult children and grandchildren were spread between the other 3 comfortable queen bedrooms. We congregated in the living room and dining area with room to spare and the kitchen is attached to this area so it makes for the perfect family space. The mornings and late afternoons found us on the gorgeous back screened porch area and decks with tons of seating. The grandchildren could not get enough of the brand new saltwater pool. The owners George and Laurie could not have been nicer or more accommodating from meeting us on arrival to giving lots of advice on local activities. To top off this house is the convenience. We ran back and forth to Charleston many times and it took about 8 minutes. My husband and sons played golf 20 minutes away. Our family has rented many many houses through the years and the Trust home may be my all time favorite . Thank you Laurie and George!

My 14 friends and I stayed for the Charleston half marathon. There was space for everyone including extra. Dan and Brittanie provided a hot plate and counter top oven which was perfect for light cooking. There were plenty of bathrooms that were all super clean and the living room was spacious enough for all of us. The area was a tiny bit sketchy but nothing detrimental especially because not only did the house obviously have a lock but so did each of the individual bedroom doors. It was an easy uber away to downtown charleston and the pricing of the house was extremely reasonable. Dan and Brittanie always responded very quickly. I would 100% stay again and reccomend for a group get away!

Dan and Brittanie’s place was awesome! ~10 minutes away from anywhere you need to be. They were extremely responsive and friendly. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is that the address provided takes you to another location nearby, so we had to do some circling around. Other than that, everything was great!
