Kabo’s place was definitely a great stay. The place was as described and had everything we needed. The host was proactive in responding to questions and requests. Kago truly was a great host and the place was quite homely we ended up extending our stay. That has to mean a lot as we had two small kids, with one being an infant and we wanted a place that would be suitable for them. The place is a private home and was quite clean. Truly a germ. We’d definitely stay there again when in town. Well worth it.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at this vacation home in May. Although our stay was only for one night due to travel plans, the property left a lasting impression on us. It truly has a warm, homely feel, is very comfortable, and offers a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at ease. What made our experience exceptional was the outstanding hospitality from the host, Tshepo Lyckhage. We unfortunately experienced a vehicle breakdown between Motopi and Moremaoto, and Tshepo went far beyond what we ever expected from a host. She stopped to assist us on the roadside, helped coordinate communication with a mechanic in Maun, and ensured we were supported throughout the entire situation. Despite the challenges, we felt completely taken care of. Tshepo stayed with us for hours, made sure we were safe, and even arranged for the property to be prepared for our late arrival that evening. Her support continued the next morning, ensuring our vehicle was repaired so we could continue our journey without further stress. This was more than just accommodation, it was genuine care and kindness that turned a difficult situation into a safe and positive experience. The home itself is peaceful, private, and very comfortable, but it is the host’s dedication and willingness to help that truly sets this place apart. We would highly recommend this stay to anyone traveling through Maun and would gladly return again.
