Which payment processors can I connect to Houfy?

Houfy connects to Stripe, Square and PayPal. You can also skip all three and invoice guests directly using any payment method you like, outside of Houfy.

Yes - PayPal. Houfy supports three connected payout methods: Stripe, Square and PayPal.

You connect any of them at Connected payments (profile picture, then Manage Listings, then Connected payments in the left menu), where they appear as Connect Stripe, Connect Square and Connect PayPal. You can connect more than one, and route different listings to different accounts with Routing Rules on the same page. There are no other processors.

Can my guests still send me an inquiry?

Yes. If you have no payment method connected, travellers send an inquiry and you invoice them directly. From the inquiry, use the Mark as Confirmed button - that confirms the booking and holds the dates on your calendar while you arrange payment with the guest yourself.

How do I tell guests what payment methods I accept?

Open your listing, go to Payment & Policies, and write it into the Payment Policy box. There is no longer a list of credit-card checkboxes to tick - the Payment Policy box is where you describe what you accept and on what terms.

What are the pros and cons of Stripe, Square and PayPal?

Stripe carries the Recommended badge on the Connected payments page. All three take card payments, and automatic payments (balances, instalments and security deposits) work on all three. There is a comparison guide for Stripe and Square if you want more detail.

Once you have opened a free account with your chosen processor, connect it to Houfy so travellers can book your property online.
