How do I export my VRBO Calendar into Houfy Calendar?

1. Log in to your Vrbo owner dashboard and select the property whose calendar you want to export. You can only export a calendar while the listing is live.

2. Select Calendar.

3. Open Settings, then the Availability tab.

4. Under Calendar sync, select Connect calendars, then Export calendar.

5. Select Copy URL.

In the Vrbo Owner app the path is Calendar > the settings icon > Availability > Calendar sync > Connect calendars, then Copy link.

Export options > Download booking details does not give you the calendar link.

Vrbo offers an Include tentative bookings option when you export. Leave it off when you are exporting to another booking site like Houfy - including tentative dates can cause payment problems if you also import that calendar back into your reservations calendar. Only include them when exporting to a private calendar.

• Log into Houfy

• Go to Manage Listings and open the listing. Click Calendar.

• Click Import in the calendar toolbar and paste the link from VRBO into the iCal URL field.

• Give it a name under Calendar Name (optional), for example "VRBO".

• Pick a Calendar Color so VRBO's dates are easy to spot on your Houfy calendar.

• Under Import Options, choose:

  • Everything - brings in reservations and blocked dates. Choose this if you block dates manually on VRBO.

  • Only Reservations - brings in bookings only, and ignores blocked dates.

• Click Import Calendar.

You can change the colour or the Import Option later from Calendar > Import > Synced, using the pencil (Edit) icon next to the calendar.

Do not copy url's from the browser. These will not work.
