How do I add a security damage deposit as a fee?
Add a deposit as an ordinary fee line under Pricing > Rates & Fees > Additional Fees. Houfy does not track a fee-based deposit as refundable - refunding it is between you and your guest.

Please select Menu > Manage Listings.
Select the listing you want to edit, and then click Edit.
Click Pricing from the left menu and click on Rates & Fees.
Scroll to the Additional Fees section and expand it, then click Add fee.
In Fee Name, type what the guest should see - for example Refundable Security Deposit or Damage Deposit.
Enter the Amount and choose whether it is a flat amount or a percentage, and whether it is charged per stay or per night. A deposit is normally a flat amount charged per stay.
Save the fee, then click Continue at the bottom of the page.
Added this way the deposit is an ordinary fee line on the guest's quote. It is collected with the rest of the payment and Houfy does not track it as refundable or return it automatically - refunding it is between you and your guest.
If you want Houfy to handle it as a refundable deposit instead, use Damage Protection > Damage Deposit on the same page and see How do I set up my damage deposit?
