Please do not remove dishes, glasses, silverware, utensils, serving bowls or platters or other permanent items from Snowflake Chalet to take on a picnic or when gathering with friends at a nearby cabin. We know you have the best of intentions of returning everything, but we have found that items sometimes don't make their way back to us.

Please take care to wash dishes and pots and pans carefully during your stay so that the next guest finds everything clean.

As much as possible, please try to put dishes and utensils back into the cabinets and drawers where you found them. We have provided labels inside the doors for your convenience.

Please keep our septic system from clogging. Use the garbage disposal ONLY for small pieces of food – please use the trash can to dispose of raw vegetables, peelings, meat or large quantities of leftovers.

Please do not flush feminine products, baby wipes or anything but toilet paper down the toilets.

Please follow the directions in the kitchen for disposing of trash.

Please don’t line the bottom of the oven with foil – it will melt and damage the surface, and for the same reason, please don’t use oven cleaner.

TO OPERATE OUR DISHWASHER:

Snowflake Chalet Kitchen Basics

Open the door and select Quick Wash or Normal Wash on the panel on the top of the door. The control panel is hidden when the dishwasher door is closed. Please DO NOT pull the dishwasher out from the wall to see the panel. (Yes, this has happened before!)

Add a detergent pod in the dispenser

Push Start and close the dishwasher door to start the cycle (NOTE: the door latch serves as the ON/OFF switch)

PLEASE NOTE: The dishwasher is very quiet and there is no indicator light, so it may seem that the dishwasher is not working properly, but it is!
