We have found that most of our guests treat our cabin as if it was their own, and we enjoy sharing our special retreat!

In that spirit, we ask that guests respect the requests below to ensure that future guests and the owners are not inconvenienced in the future.

GENERAL

Please don't rearrange our furniture or any of our decorative items. If you do move something, please return it to its proper place.

Please don't smoke in our cabin.

Please make sure your pets don't scratch our doors or damage our furniture!

KITCHEN

Please do not remove dishes, glasses, silverware, utensils, serving bowls or platters or other permanent items from Snowflake Chalet to take on a picnic or when gathering with friends at a nearby cabin. We know you have the best of intentions of returning everything, but we have found that items sometimes don't make their way back to us.

Please take care to wash dishes and pots and pans carefully during your stay so that the next guest finds everything clean.

As much as possible, please try to put dishes and utensils back into the cabinets and drawers where you found them. We have provided labels inside the doors for your convenience.

Please keep our septic system from clogging. Use the garbage disposal ONLY for small pieces of food – please use the trash can to dispose of raw vegetables, peelings, meat or large quantities of leftovers.

Please do not flush feminine products, baby wipes or anything but toilet paper down the toilets.

Please follow the directions in the kitchen for disposing of trash.

Please don’t line the bottom of the oven with foil – it will melt and damage the surface, and for the same reason, please don’t use oven cleaner.

HEATING AND COOLING

Please help us conserve energy and cost by keeping the thermostat at about 69-72 degrees and by turning the AC off or the heat low when you are not in the cabin.

Please turn off the floor heater in the master bathroom when not in use and before leaving!

TV AND ENTERTAINMENT

Please don't rearrange the cables on the TV and AV equipment – we have spent a lot of time setting everything up properly and when cables are moved it can be time-consuming to get everything working again.

We invite guests to enjoy the games in our game closet, but please return all pieces to their proper box so that they next guest may also enjoy the games.

BATHROOMS

We are on a septic system, which is more delicate than a wastewater system tied to a city sewer. Please help us prevent expensive clogging by flushing ONLY toilet paper (NO feminine products or baby wipes, please!).

DAMAGE

We understand that accidents happen. If something was broken or damaged during your stay, we would so appreciate it if you could let us know so that we may repair or replace the item. For something minor like a broken dish or wine glass, we will not charge you, as we know this is inevitable and happens to us, too. For more extensive damage, we may file a claim to the insurance you purchased through your reservation (requires no action or further cost on your part), or we may deduct the cost of the repair from your deposit.
