There are two fish and chips shops in Hokitika and both of them are great.

The busiest (because it is located right at the entrance to the town centre) is Porky's Takeaways on Weld Street.

Fish, chips, burgers, chicken, thickshakes, ice creams & lots more. You can also get the local delicacy of whitebait for a few months of the year. The season starts in September. Fresh Bluff oysters are available from March. The best oysters in the world if you ask me!

The other fish and chip shop is Dulcie's on Gibson Quay, beside the Hokitika River. A great takeaway place with amazing views. Close to Crooked Mile Cottage and Sunset Point.

Burgers, fish, chips, cold drinks
