Having a meal at the Black Pelican Restaurant at MP 4 Oceanfront is a 'must do' every time I visit the Outer Banks.
The Black Pelican is a very unique restaurant with much indoor seating, bar area, enclosed porch with ocean views and an upper deck with outdoor seating in the summer months. Great ocean views. Very cool history as the building was constructed in 1874 and used as a United States Lifesaving station. Historic, charming, awesome staff and delicious food.
The Black Pelican is open year round.
