Day trip to Charleston
Charleston is about an hour and a quarter drive from Pawleys Island and makes a great day trip. There are historic walking tours, horse & carriage rides, Tour of Fort Sumpter, ghost tours and boat tours. Downtown Charleston is the center of this historic city, offering art galleries, museums, and historic sites. If you like to shop there are plenty of shops and boutiques not to mention the Charleston Market. After a day of taking in the sights, have at one of the many restaurants, there are plenty to choose from fine dining to a casual spot for a quick bite.
