Park once in your own spot and leave the car there. From this block, everything worth doing downtown is on foot or a short drive out: coffee at Loyal and breakfast on Tejon to start, then the Pikes Peak region wide open by day, Garden of the Gods, the Cog Railway, Seven Falls, all close enough to be home by dinner. When the day is spent, you climb to a king bed and come down to a fireplace and a living room that is entirely your own.

The home sits directly across from the police headquarters, and guests say it is why they never think twice about leaving a car out overnight. Two things to know before you book: the staircase is steep and narrow, and there is no central air, just a window unit and fans. It is a compact older home, perfect for two and snug past that. Better you picture it true than meet a surprise at the door.
The whole two-level home is yours, with a private ground-level entrance (look for the sign to the left of the front door). Your parking is sorted: one dedicated private spot at the back left corner of the home.
Turn into the driveway to the left of the house, then take the first right into the designated space. Free street parking is nearby if you have a second car.
Check-in is a keypad code, so you arrive on your own time. We answer fast through the app and step in when it counts: when a guest flagged the heat one summer, a second cooling unit went in downstairs that same day. Ask us for the local list, we point people to Loyal for coffee and 420 Pizza for an easy dinner. A week or a month works here too, so send your dates and we will set a custom rate.
You are on the southern edge of downtown, a block or two off S Tejon Street and directly across from the police headquarters, which is what makes leaving a car out overnight a non-issue. Walk to Loyal Coffee, Phantom Canyon Brewing, the COATI food hall, and Poor Richard's, with 420 Pizza close by for an easy dinner and the Pioneers Museum about a block away. The sights are a short drive: the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum about 5 minutes, Pikes Peak Center 6, Garden of the Gods about 12, and Old Colorado City, Red Rock Canyon, and Seven Falls about 15. The Pikes Peak Highway entrance is about 30 minutes.
Most of downtown is walkable from the door, with Tejon Street dining about a 5 minute walk. Park in your dedicated spot at the back left of the home and leave the car there. For the sights you will drive: Garden of the Gods about 12 minutes, Old Colorado City and Red Rock Canyon about 15, and the Colorado Springs Airport (COS) about 25. Bus stops and quick rideshare pickups are nearby, and major highways are minutes out.
A few things worth knowing up front, so the home you arrive to is the one you pictured.
- The central staircase is steep and narrow. It is not for limited mobility, and it is the thing guests mention most.
- There is no central air. Cooling is a window AC unit in the upstairs bedroom plus plug-in fans, and a hot afternoon can leave the downstairs warm. Switch it on the moment you arrive, and ask if you want another fan. The home is at its best from autumn through spring.
- It is compact. Two have room to spread out; four is tight, and the sofa bed fills most of the living room floor when it is open.
- It is an older building on an active downtown block, so some street and city sound comes with it. Quiet hours are 10 PM.
- No laundry in the unit, though a laundromat is on the block.
