Windmill Trails Where you want to be!

Originally established as a dairy farm, Windmill Trails has been lovingly renovated with a commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The historical barn, which dates back a century, has been restored using as much of the original wood as possible. It now offers a cozy Barn Loft equipped with a full kitchen, bedroom, and living space. The Dairy Cottage, also recently renovated, features a warm and inviting living area with a cozy wood-burning fireplace, perfect for gathering on chilly evenings.

Both homes offer serene views of the lush landscape, and the property boasts an impressive 12 acres where our beloved horses, Bandit and Moondancer, roam freely. Please note that while you’re welcome to admire the horses from a distance, guest interaction is not permitted to ensure their well-being.

Wilfred Barry was raised in Baton Rouge, as the youngest of four siblings. Following his graduation from LSU College of Engineering, he commenced his career at his father's engineering firm, SJB Group, LLC, starting as a junior project engineer. Over the years, he advanced through various roles until he became the sole proprietor. In 2023, Wilfred sold the business to an employee, marking the end of his 49-year tenure. In 2020, anticipating retirement, Wilfred and Anna sought new ventures. They found a rural property in Mississippi with significant acreage, a house, and a barn, setting the stage for their next chapter.
