Listing Description:
Welcome to our brand new (built 2023) lakefront home conveniently located in the heart of McHenry and all of the area's many attractions. Our home is built on the former site of the famous Point View Inn, with breathtaking views of Deep Creek Lake and the surrounding mountains. The exterior photos were taken before 100% completion - the patio area is currently just rough gravel, but our finished patio should be coming soon.
Our Property:
Our property is a single family home setup as a bed and breakfast with the owners quarters upstairs and the lower level as the separate guest space. We won't be serving freshly prepared breakfast but we will provide a welcome basket with some goodies for you to enjoy. This listing is for the entire lower level of the house which has a separate entrance, parking, full size laundry, kitchen, 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Also includes use of private dock slip, rear patio and bbq area, backyard and fire pit. The lower level has 10 foot ceilings with tons of windows and natural light and amazing lake views from the kitchen/dining area and main living space as well as from each of the 4 bedrooms. The two master bedrooms each have king size beds and the other two bedrooms each have double over double bunk beds.
Guest Access:
Guests have private and exclusive use of the entire lower level of the home (other than a small locked mechanical room), as well as the rear patio area under the deck and the adjacent BBQ area (both to be completed soon). Guests also have private and exclusive use of the backyard (with hammocks in the trees) and firepit, other than the hosts occasionally crossing the backyard to access the dock. The dock may be used by guests to moor one jet ski and one power boat (or two jet skis and zero power boats) and launch unlimited kayaks, paddle boards and other non-motorized vessels. The hosts' boat takes up one slip on the dock and the hosts may use the dock to access their boat during your stay. The rest of the dock is available for the private and exclusive use by our guests. There is a marina right next door with watersports rentals available (and several other marinas in the area as well).
We have 4 parking spaces on our property exclusively available for guest parking and additional overflow parking is available along the road. Adjacent to the guest parking area is a short staircase with handrail for guest use to easily access the backyard and separate lower level entrance.
Interaction with Guests:
The hosts will likely be staying upstairs for all or most of your stay, so you will have on-site management available if needed (no waiting around half of your stay for returned phone calls if any issues or questions come up - you can call, email, text or simply come to the front door and knock). We are happy to greet you at check in and show you around, answer any questions you have about the house or the area, things to do, etc., if you'd like.
On the other hand, if you'd prefer not to interact in person you can check in on your own and access the property with the keypad code that we will send in advance and we will try to be as invisible as possible during your stay (you may hear some footsteps above you, like you might in a duplex or in a hotel/apartment, but we will try not to disturb you).
In either case, we will respond quickly to any messages or requests you may send electronically. We're totally flexible and are happy to do things in whatever way you're most comfortable.
We may use the deck upstairs and may briefly cross through the backyard to access our boat, but we will not be hanging around in the yard or on the dock or using the fire pit in the yard or the patio area outside of the lower level which will be reserved for your exclusive use.
Other details to note:
We take pride in making sure that the space is disinfected and cleaned thoroughly between each guest stay. This includes disinfecting all surfaces, cleaning all appliances inside and out and washing all linens, including bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, sheets, pillowcases and comforters. Yes, we wash all of the comforters after every guest stay.
Although listed as an entire house (there was no option to list the separate lower level unit with no shared spaces), this listing is only for the lower level of the house and the described outdoor space.

Full refund for cancellations made at least 60 days prior to check-in or within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 21 days away at the time of cancellation. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 14 days before check-in. No refund for cancellations made within 14 days of check-in.
