Check in Policy/Security Pass You are welcome to check in anytime after 4:00 on the day of your arrival.  All vehicles are required to obtain a security pass at the Palmetto Dunes Welcome Center Pass Office.  Passes for the week are $35 per vehicle.  I will prepay 2 security passes for each reservation.  All other vehicles will be responsible for paying this fee. The maximum number of cars Palmetto Dunes allows is six.   Before your arrival, I will provide the Security Office with the name of the guest who made the reservation and the number of vehicles that will require a pass.  Please provide this information to me by the time you make your final payment.  When checking in, please provide the following to the Pass Office:Guest who reservedOur address 3 Lookout Property Management We use Sunset Rentals as our property management company. Please contact them regarding any issues at 1-843-785-6767.  If there are any issues they cannot resolve, please feel free to contact me (Leanna Jones) via text, phone or email.  My phone number is 423-653-3898.  My email is 114sandcastle@gmail.com. Directions Palmetto Dunes is located in the central part of Hilton Head Island.  Once you cross the bridge to Hilton Head, you will want to continue on Highway 278/William Hilton Parkway.  To do this choose one of the 3 right lanes(the other lanes will take you to Cross Island Parkway which is a toll road).  Palmetto Dunes is located at mile marker 8 Queens Folly Road at a traffic light.  Once you have turned left into the resort, you will need to stop by the Welcome Center on the right to get your pass.  After getting your pass, continue on Queens Folly Road.  At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit which is the North Gate Access on Mooring Buoy Road.  This road will continue on the right and Sea Lane on the left.  Please veer left and take Sea Lane. Sea Lane will turn into Lookout at the cul de sac past Port Tack.  We are located on the left at 3 Lookout. Remote Check In  Remote check in allows you to pull right up to your vacation home and start your vacation without wasting time picking up keys.  It also makes it easy for people to come and go during your vacation without the hassle of getting access with a key.  The codes you will need to access our home will be provided around a week before arrival.    The keypad is located at the front door.  Information About Our Home As a part of the services we provide to our guest, you will find your bed already made with fresh clean luxury sheets.  Our home will always be equipped with enough spa quality towels for 23 people, the maximum number we can accommodate.  We will also be providing beach towels to use at the pool or beach. Each bathroom is equipped with two rolls of toilet paper and personal toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap.  The kitchen includes paper towels, dish soap, and dish towels and a few trash can liners and dishwasher packs to get you started.  The kitchen is very well stocked and should provide you with whatever you need to prepare your favorite dishes.  There is a gas grill located on the balcony off the kitchen overlooking the pool that will grill steak, fish or hamburgers to perfection.  Wireless internet is available.  The router name is 3 Lookout and the password is 3_lookout. Spa/Pool Guests are welcome to heat up the spa at no additional cost.  It is set for 102 degrees and all you have to do is hit the spa button to activate.  Once finished please hit the button again to turn it off.  When the spa is being used the pool is not filtering.  If spa remains on, the pool water will be less than inviting.  In the off season, the pool can be heated for an additional fee of $125.00 a day.  If you are paying to have the pool heated, it is important to make sure the spa is turned off when not in use also.  While the spa is being heated, the pool is not so continuous spa usage will impact the pool temperature. Recreation: Bike riding is a favorite pastime of people visiting Hilton Head with more than 100 miles of bike paths. We recommend renting bicycles from Hilton Head Outfitters located in Palmetto Dunes 1-1-866-380-1783. You can call them and they will deliver the bicycles to your doorstep and pick them up on the day of your departure.    Palmetto Dunes also offers a unique 11- mile lagoon system that winds it way through three spectacular golf courses.  To enjoy this lagoon system, fishing (catch and release), kayaking and canoeing are popular pastimes. Hilton Head Outfitters offers watercraft rentals including canoes and kayaks.  Shelter Cove Marina offers larger watercraft such as pontoon boats.  If you are a golfer there are many wonderful golf courses to choose from.  Palmetto Dunes has three world-class courses including Robert Trent Jones which our house overlooks, Arthur Hill and George Fazio.  Palmetto Dunes also offers an award-winning tennis program for those who wish to improve their game.  We are less than a ¼ mile from a beach access via Port Tack to Mooring Buoy.    From April to September, you can use the Dunes Buggy shuttle to catch a ride to the beach, or you can park at Dunes House if you prefer to drive. Courtesy Shuttle Palmetto Dunes offer a courtesy shuttle to resort guests called Dunes Buggy.  Transportation is provided to the beaches, golf clubs and tennis courts of Palmetto Dunes and shops and restaurants of Shelter Cove Marina, Shelter Cove Towne Centre and the Plaza at Shelter Cove. The Dunes Buggy operates on a first-come, first-served basis as requests are received.  Call 843-689-4222.  This service operates from the 1st of April to mid-September. Pets We are a pet friendly property and are happy to host your dog.  We do ask that you do not allow your pet to get on furniture or bedding.  It is not possible to clean furniture and bedspreads between guests if dogs are allowed on these items. If we are informed of pet hair on furniture and bedding there will be an extra fee to clean.
