Whether you're here for a long shift, a loved one's recovery, or a travel assignment, The Nightingale is your quiet retreat directly across the street from Morristown-Hamblen Hospital. Park once, walk to work, and rest easy in a comfortable two-bedroom home built for people who need real rest — and real focus.
Look for the green house — it's the easy-to-spot landmark right across from the hospital, so you'll never circle the block hunting for parking after a 12-hour shift.
THE SPACE
Two private bedrooms and a full bath give you room to spread out, whether you're traveling solo, sharing with a fellow resident or nurse, or staying close while a family member is in care. Every bedroom has blackout curtains for true daytime sleep — essential after a night shift.
Studying for boards or charting after hours? You'll have three dedicated workspaces: a desk in each bedroom plus a third quiet desk in the laundry room, so two people can work without crowding each other. Blazing-fast fiber-optic Wi-Fi keeps video calls, telehealth, and study sessions running without a hitch.
A full kitchen lets you keep your own hours and your own meals — no waiting on takeout after a night shift — and a relaxed living area gives you somewhere to decompress.

THE LOCATION
You truly cannot get closer to Morristown-Hamblen Hospital — it's directly across the street. That means more sleep, less commute, and the peace of mind of being steps away if you're visiting someone in care. You're also minutes from downtown Morristown's restaurants, coffee, and shops, with easy access to the Lakeway Area and the lakes and mountains of East Tennessee when you have a day off.
REST EASY
We know our guests often keep odd hours and carry heavy days. The Nightingale is meant to be a calm, dependable place to land, sleep, study, and recharge — so you're ready for whatever your next shift brings.
GOOD TO KNOW
Two exterior security cameras are mounted on the house and face outward. They cover the front and rear doors, the approaches to them, and the parking area. Video only — audio is turned off. There are no cameras inside the home.
The hospital's helipad is across the street. Morristown-Hamblen is a smaller hospital, so flights aren't frequent, and they're brief when they happen. You'll notice it in the living area; both bedrooms sit on the opposite side of the house, farthest from the helipad.
There is no fenced yard and the house sits along a road, so please keep an eye on kids and pets outside.
Early check-in and late checkout are often available for a small fee — just ask.
