Sylvan Park is one of the few Nashville neighborhoods where the car can stay parked. Coffee, bagels, barbecue, wood-fired pizza, and a proper wine shop are all within a short walk of the front door. The Richland Park Farmers Market and McCabe Golf Course are at the edge of the neighborhood.
The driveway holds two cars, which is enough for most groups. When Broadway calls, downtown is a ten-minute drive or a quick Uber — usually under fifteen dollars each way. Rideshare is the easy answer for honky-tonk nights when no one wants to drive.
Vanderbilt is a mile away, close enough to walk on a nice day. Centennial Park and the Parthenon are minutes by car. The Metro bus picks up within half a mile of the house for guests who prefer transit.
Nashville International Airport is about twenty minutes by car, depending on traffic. Most guests find that a rental car is useful but not essential — the neighborhood handles daily life on foot.
