"The Sanctuary at Fiddlehead" is a 49+ acre serene escape nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You will feel natures abundance the second you step foot on the property. The Farmhouse boasts modern amenities but has kept it's original charm. Walking the grounds you can relax by the stream fed pond, enjoy an easy hike or wind down by the firepit in the evening. Day trips to nearby cities are a breeze. Just 23 mins to Asheville airport, 15mins to downtown Hendersonville.

The Farmhouse is a fully renovated 2-story 4 bedroom house, approx 2,300sq ft. The design is a mix of antiques and modern, giving it that modern farmhouse vibe. It sleeps 10 with two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs. The gorgeously remodeled kitchen boasts hand hewn beams harvested from the property during the remodel, quartz countertops, new appliances and is fully stocked with all the essentials for cooking a gourmet meal for you and your family.

*Please note that this set up is a traditional farmhouse style with no en-suite bathrooms.

Dining room:

This room boasts a 10ft long custom farmhouse table that seats 10 comfortably.

Family room:

Relax in front of the wood burning stone fireplace on our sectional sofa. We have a smart TV if you'd like to catch up on your favorite shows or movies.

Sitting room/Library:

Our sitting room is also known as the “library”. Here you can enjoy the views of the pond, sit down with your morning coffee or grab a book from our curated selection to read in your downtime. We have hand selected books that are important to the heritage of the property and town, classic novel and poetry works, as well as books representing the essence of “The Sanctuary at Fiddlehead”. These touch on everything from nature and yoga to self reflection and photography.

Front porch & outdoor fireplace:

The front porch is the perfect place to have your morning coffee or wind down with a glass of wine, as it overlooks the pond. Complete with a porch swing and tables for sitting down and relaxing.

Off the porch is an outdoor stone wood burning fireplace. This fireplace can crank out some impressive fires with little effort due to its construction. This has been a favorite gathering spot on chilly nights and great for roasting s’mores.

THE GROUNDS:

Other than the event space on the other end of the property, you will basically have all 49 acres to explore.

The stream fed pond is a serene place to relax and it’s almost magical how it changes from dawn to dusk each day. Our pond is stock with rainbow trout and brim. Our favorite is to grab a chair and sit out on the pond deck and stargaze on clear nights, listening to the rush of stream water flowing into the pond and the sounds of nature all around us.

Past the smaller building, that is located behind the pond gazebo, hides a Labyrinth which marks the entrance to our walking/hiking trail (#1).

This is a 10 min gorgeous walk that follows the stream uphill. Along the way you will pass another pond, cross the stream a few times and find a bench or two to sit and take in the sights and sounds. This trail ends at our slide rock.

The main Farmhouse is the only building guests will have access to. There are two other buildings on the property. One is vacant and the other is an event space. These two will not be accessible during your stay. The event space can not be seen from the front porch of the farmhouse. The pond and rest of the property are yours to explore.

**PLEASE READ**

Given the secluded nature of our property, we HIGHLY recommend arrival before it is dark. This will allow you to clearly see the gravel road coming into the property and where the parking areas are.

DRUGS will not be tolerated in the Farmhouse or anywhere on the property!
