Escape to this modern forest-adjacent home, the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Located near Grand Mere State Park and just a 90-minute drive from Chicago, this 2022-built home offers a secluded and peaceful setting. Featuring 4 bedrooms (7 beds total) and 3 bathrooms, 12 people can be accommodated comfortably. Use the sand dunes by the lake as a launching point for the provided canoe, make a fire in the pit or simply relax in the hot tub and let all your worries fade away.
Welcome to Casa De Rahas, a 2022-built home on the grounds of Lake Solis! We provide a 3-person canoe for use on the lake.

Inside, the ground floor is laid out spaciously over a concrete heated floor. Here you will find a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, garbage disposal, toaster, air-fryer), 12-person dining table, and living room with two leather couches and a 75" TV.

In the living room area, under the TV, is a powerful electric fireplace that can either be used for heat during the colder months or as something to watch, if you activate the colored flames (heat does not have to be on to enjoy the flames). The Klipsch speakers (with a large subwoofer!) are setup under the TV with an optical connection to provide the best sound for movies or music, you can also connect your bluetooth music to the speakers. Above, a natural wooden fan can be set to simulate a natural breeze.

The downstairs master bedroom features a king size electric adjustable bed (you can raise the back of the bed), a ceiling fan and two custom built nightstands with wicker lights, and a large cherry armoire for storing clothes and other items. The attached bathroom features a modern shower and dual sinks.

The downstairs common bathroom, accessible from the common area, located between the two bedrooms, can be used for baths or showers.

The downstairs second bedroom features full-over-full bunk beds with a pullout trundle (twin size) to accommodate up to 5 people (two couples and a single person or child), or 3 people if a single person uses each bed. In this room there is also an aluminum open armoire for hanging up clothes and other items.

Washer and dryer are available on the ground floor as well. Detergent provided.

Upstairs is a third bathroom with a modern shower unit like the first floor master.

The loft floor master bedroom features the same king size adjustable bed as the first floor master, but this room also features a dedicated office space, complete with desk, flatscreen LCD monitor with HDMI hookup, printer/scanner, a mouse, stapler, tape, and misc. office supplies. Inside the second floor master is a large ash armoire for storing clothes and other items.

The guest bedroom on the loft floor features a queen-size bed, two bamboo end tables on which two bamboo lamps sit, and a vintage chair. A bamboo open closet resides in the room to hang clothes and other items.

Across the loft floor bedrooms is second living room area with a grey fabric couch in front of a wooden coffee table and a 55" Roku TV (HDMI input cable provided). There are vintage board games and a chess set in the entertainment center there. Next to this area is a seven foot pool table and fully equipped stock of weighted cue sticks on the wall. The table plays great.

In the corner of the pool table area is an extra bed on a built-in platform -- a "twin XL" size bed which can accommodate a taller person (it is a longer version of a twin size bed). There are two red leather suspension chairs nearby so pool spectators can watch the game.

Back downstairs and out the back door is the concrete patio. Here, there is a large outdoor dining table, an outdoor furniture set and several glass tables. There is also a 5-burner Weber propane grill with grilling tools provided. If it gets cold, feel free to make use of the propane heater which is always stored on the patio.

The big attraction of the patio is the obsessively maintained 7-person hottub, flanked by two custom-built side tables so you always have a place to set your drinks and hang your towels.

Move off the patio towards the forest and you will find a raised brick firepit. Firewood is provided and stored in a shelter just beyond pit. Around the pit are chairs and tables, and fire pokers provided in the house for all of your roasting needs.
