Michigan City vacation rentals

We love staying with you and appreciate the close proximity to family and the lake! The neighborhood is a throwback to when we were kids! The ONLY thing I can mention is that the mattress/pillow situation is uncomfortable and those plastic mattress pad covers really conduct a lot of heat so sleeping isn't very restful...but we also understand the good ones are an expensive investment. Only other thing I could recommend is a better stocked kitchen in terms of cookware/utensils/serving plates/ but we all love to cook at home so we might be in the minority:).

It's a great space. Super clean, large master bedroom, bright kitchen and living room, nice deck. It's a great location. Easy walk to Washington Park and the beach. 10-minute bike ride (two miles) to downtown restaurants, with closer options available. Quiet street. We had a small issue on arrival (our fault). We entered the keypad code to unlock the door but didn't hit the unlock button. Our host, who lives nearby, immediately responded to a text and headed over to help. We figured it out before she arrived. She took it in stride, even laughed about it.

Very nice and clean vacation home. Especially enjoyed the fenced in back yard and hot tub. Plenty of space and excellent communication and instructions. Short drives and easy access to restaurants and activities. Private and comfortable.

Hands down the most comfortable place we’ve stayed. Clean, quiet, just as described. Easy walk to the beach. A couple more full-size beach towels would be a nice add but there are plenty of beach chairs. Will definitely book again.

The Porter House was everything we expected and more. The house was very clean, easy to get to, and had all of the amenities we could ask for. We especially enjoyed the hot tub out back. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint, the surrounding area had many great restaurants and cafes. Also, very close to the dunes. The best part of this Air B+B was certainly the hosts. They were very accommodating and quick to respond with any inquiries that we had. They even helped us find prime dining locations as well as grocery store, cafes, and other local hot spots. We would highly recommend this property to anyone and everyone looking for a great home to stay in the area. A++++++++++

Great location! It was a short walk to the beach, with ample restaurants and fun things to do in close proximity. The covered porch was beautiful, as the house was nestled within a lot of giant trees. There are a lot of stairs in the house so I’ll be sure you’re ready to get your steps in. The bedroom on the top floor can get quite stuffy so be sure to run fans.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a close drive to numerous beaches. The outside patio was nice for grilling and making s’mores! Everyone that stayed in the house had a wonderful time.

This home was like stepping back in time but with everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation. We were able to walk to a coffee shop, restaurants were a short drive, the kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals and the scenery was beautiful. Hope to return again.
