Ponce Inlet, just south of Daytona Beach, is a peaceful yet near all the activities in Daytona Beach. The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, the tallest in Florida, is at the end of the peninsula. You can also visit the Marine Science Center which is a turtle and seabird rehabilitation hospital.

You can frequently see Pelican and Osprey flying near the balcony, and there are dolphin sightings too. Ponce Inlet is a turtle zone. If you get lucky you might see a new turtle nest or baby turtles hatch (May-Oct). There are nice walks not only along the ocean, but boardwalks over mangrove swamps to the river. Several local restaurants are nearby with delicious food.
