The entire guest house and the deck are private guest access and for the guests to enjoy during their stay. This is a private guest house with its own entrance, parking, and no interior walls adjoining the larger house.

During the off-season, please contact our staff through the app for assistance. During the on-season (May 1 through September 30), when the camp store is open, guests are welcome to stop by with any questions. For emergencies, please call the phone number listed in the guestbook.

Back Bay Campground and Cottages is a family-owned and operated lakeside retreat located on the southern shores of Black Lake in upstate New York. Known as one of New York’s premier fishing and boating destinations, the campground sits just minutes from the scenic St. Lawrence River and the charming town of Hammond, NY. The property is thoughtfully designed for guests who want to enjoy the lake at a relaxed pace without the crowds and noise of large commercial resorts. Guests enjoy easy access to the water and docks, along with shared amenities such as a heated swimming pool, arcade, and picnic areas. An on-site camp store offers convenient rentals, including boats, kayaks, and lawn games, so you can fully enjoy the lake without leaving the property.

Back Bay Campground is located on a quiet lakeside road and is accessible by car only. Public transportation and ride share services are not available in the area; therefore, guests must plan to arrive with their own vehicle. Once on the property, guests can easily explore the campground on foot, including access to amenities and walking paths. Cell service may be limited in certain areas due to the rural setting. During the winter months, road and weather conditions can vary, and the use of a four-wheel-drive (4WD) or all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle is strongly recommended to ensure safe and reliable access.

🛏️ Sleeping Arrangements:
The guest house accommodates up to 6 guests and includes one bedroom with a king bed and one bedroom with two twin beds. There is also a full-sized pullout couch in the living room.
🌊 Dock Access
Guests can head down the stairs to a semi-private dock for fishing, swimming, or kayaking. Dock access and water conditions may vary depending on season and weather.
🏡 Located on a Campground
The Lakeside Loft is located within Back Bay Campground and offers a private setting with access to shared campground amenities. Some amenities and rentals may be seasonal or weather dependent.
