Welcome to your luxurious woodland escape in Stratton, Vermont! This stunning vacation home is nestled on 4 private acres of lush forest, offering both seclusion and convenience. Located just minutes from Stratton Mountain Resort, Mount Snow Resort, and the breathtaking Green Mountain National Forest, this home provides the perfect base for year-round adventures. Designed to evoke the Danish concept of hygge, which embodies warmth, coziness, and well-being, this home offers a private hot tub, sauna, and even a treehouse for the ultimate escape.


LIVING ROOM
Step into the heart of Hygge House, where the living room invites you to relax in ultimate comfort. You’ll sink into the extra-deep, down-filled Crate & Barrel sofas, perfect for cozying up by the stone fireplace. 2ND FLOOR LIVING ROOM/GAME ROOM
The second-floor living area provides an additional space for your group to spread out and relax. This spacious, bright lofted sitting area features another extra-deep Crate & Barrel sofa, perfect for lounging while streaming your favorite shows on the 4K OLED Smart TV. For those who enjoy games, there’s a 9-foot shuffleboard table that promises hours of fun. A second cozy sitting nook offers a quiet retreat within this versatile space, making it ideal for both relaxation and entertainment.

HOT TUB, FIRE PIT, GRILL, and PATIO
The outdoor patio at Hygge House is designed for year-round enjoyment, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment in every season. The dining area at Hygge House features a large reclaimed mango wood table that comfortably seats eight guests, perfect for gathering with family and friends. The kitchen also includes a convenient bar area with seating for four, making it ideal for casual meals or morning coffee while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere.

TREEHOUSE- Built into the trees, the rustic treehouse includes an open deck section and a fully enclosed section. Sit amongst the branches and enjoy the sounds of the Green Mountains around you.

THE MOUNTAIN SUITE
Escape to the Mountain Suite, a tranquil retreat perched on the second floor, where every detail invites relaxation. The spacious king-sized bed is dressed in soft, luxurious linens, perfect for sinking into after a day of adventure. THE EQUUS ROOM

THE GREEN MOUNTAIN ROOM

This room offers two XL twin beds, each equal to half of a king-sized bed, providing plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Unique books and decor line the shelves, inviting you to explore new ideas or simply enjoy the quiet moments. The Green Mountain Room is more than just a place to sleep—it’s a cozy haven that connects you to the natural beauty right outside your window.

THE STRATTON ROOM
Celebrate Vermont’s rich skiing history in the nostalgic Stratton Room, where retro posters from nearby Stratton Mountain Resort add a touch of vintage charm. Two XL twin beds, each equal to half of a king-sized bed, offer comfort and flexibility for guests of all ages. A stylish Pottery Barn dresser provides ample storage, while the room’s thoughtful design invites you to reminisce about days spent on the slopes or plan tomorrow’s adventures. The Stratton Room is both playful and inviting—a perfect tribute to Vermont's outdoor heritage.

THE WOODLAND BATHROOM & SAUNA
Experience spa-like serenity located on the main floor near 3 bedrooms. This bathroom features your own private sauna, a natural stone-top vanity, sleek fixtures, and a spacious walk-in glass shower with a wall and hand sprayer.

GEAR STORAGE - Skis, snowboards, bikes, golf clubs etc. can be stored in your vehicle or in our detached garage.

The concept of Hygge is to spend quality time with friends and family. We provide an assortment of games to aid in the conversation and quality time whether indoors or out.
Guest access
Enjoy all of Hygge House and its 4 private wooded acres. Set back away from the road, it is truly a private escape where you can enjoy the peace and solitude of the Southern Green Mountains, whether from the giant picture windows, from an Adirondack chair on the huge stone patio or from atop the treehouse in the backyard.
Other things to note
Our property is entirely non-smoking inside and outside. No cigarettes, no marijuana, no vaping, no parties, no loud music, no excessive alcohol use. Quiet hours from 11 PM to 7 AM. No more than 8 people are allowed on the property at any time.

Please note, we require the primary guest to sign a rental agreement after booking and provide a photo of their ID to comply with Title 9, Chapter 83, Subchapter 2 of the VT Statutes (see House Rules for details). Most hosts don't do these things, but we pay attention to details (regulatory and otherwise) and that is reflected in the guest experience that we provide.
