The Green Mountain House is a place to slow down, indulge in personal nostalgia, drink a glass of wine (or two), and let your mind disconnect. A place designed for friends and family. For good food and conversation. There’s hiking in the summer, skiing in the winter, mountain fresh air and dark starry nights.

The Green Mountain House at Mount Snow is a 4 bedroom / 2 bath 1985 chalet located in Dover, VT in the heart of the Green Mountain National Park - 3.5 hour drive from New York City, 2.5 hour drive from Boston.

We are minutes away from restaurants in West Dover and Wilmington, as well as Mt Snow and Stratton ski resorts. Green Mountain National Forest offers some of the best terrains for hiking and mountain biking in the northeast.

The house is officially situated on one acre but we back up to national park land so feel free to roam the backwoods for as long as your legs can sustain you. The home and grounds are available for your enjoyment!

Guest Access • Guests will have access to the main part of the house, consisting of entry through the front door, a full kitchen, living area with gas/propane fireplace, an open concept kitchen, master suite on the main floor with three bedrooms and bathroom on the floor above. Guests may also enjoy private access to the wrap around deck. Below there is a 2-bedroom apartment with separate access that is rented separately.

Interaction with Guests • Keys will be left for you and we will always be available via email, text or phone.

Ski Resorts • Mt Snow ski resort is a 1 mile drive or The Moover is Dover’s free shuttle service (weekends and holidays) that brings you directly to and from the mountain during the winter season. Additionally, there is a private groomed ski-home trail from Mt Snow that comes to Bears Crossing. Stratton ski resort is a 25 minute drive from the house.

Hiking • The Green Mountain National Forest is a great place to hike around and explore Haystack Mountain Trail. The Harriman Reservoir is a short 30 minute drive and is a great place to enjoy kayaking and lakeshore hiking.

The Club House • The community features a heated outdoor pool (summer season only) to enjoy those great Vermont summers as well as a BBQ area and fire pit on the upper deck.

Other Things to Note • The house is well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, bath products, board games and books, and an internet/Netflix enabled TV.

Free shuttle to and from Mt. Snow Base Lodge and a Ski Back trail directly from Mt. Snow trails. There are also multiple private bus services from NYC, Boston, and other cities in the Northeast. The Moover also takes you into town and nearby towns. It is possible to get around without a vehicle. Uber and local taxi service is also available.
