From Southworth Ferry Terminal: - 26 min walk-on ferry to Seattle Center (Pier 50) - 15 min car ferry to Vashon Island - 30-35 min car ferry to West Seattle From our property: - 40 min drive to Tacoma: Museum of Glass, Point Defiance Park and Zoo, antique malls - 40 min drive to Green Mountain State Park, for access to excellent hikes with views of the Olympic mountains - 75 min drive to Quilcene, the Lake Cushman area, for access to excellent hikes in the Olympic National Forest and National Park - 70 min drive to historic Port Townsend and the cider route - 2 hour drive to Port Angeles and the ferry to Victoria, B.C. - 2 hour drive to Hurricane Ridge Visitor's Center in Olympic National Park, Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Hot Springs - 3 hour drive to La Push, Pacific beaches, and the Hoh Rain Forest - 2 hour drive to Mt. Rainier National Park Most people who visit will come by car, but it is possible to get around without one using local public transportation or rideshares, with careful planning. Public transit from SeaTac Airport: 1) Take the Link train into Pioneer Square. Walk to Pier 50 and take the Kitsap Fast Ferry to Southworth. *Note: This ferry does not run on Sundays and has a limited schedule. 2) Take the #560 bus to Westwood Village for a transfer onto the C-Line bus which will take you to the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal in West Seattle (~45mins total). Walk on to the ferry to Southworth. 3) The Bremerton-Kitsap Airporter shuttle service will drop off at the 76 gas station in Port Orchard (234 Bravo Terrace SE, Port Orchard, WA 98367). Take a rideshare service or the #8 into town and then the #86 bus. Local public transit: Kitsap Transit bus #86 will pick up or drop off at the bottom of our street and can take you to and from Southworth Ferry Dock and downtown Port Orchard. Check bus schedule for limited operating times. Other options: App rideshares operate in the area and costs between $15-20 for a car, one-way, to/from Southworth Ferry Dock. If needed, we can arrange pickup/drop off for you at locations within a reasonable radius! There are excellent routes for road cycling around the area and you’ll often spot commuters and recreational riders on the ferries. As avid cyclists, we would be happy to offer tips and help you plan out your rides!
