Welcome to Harbor view master suite! The private master suite is located on the 2nd floor our of home, in a quiet, isolated corner of the house partly above the garage. The shared main keypad entrance opens up directly to the flight of stairs that will take you up to the suite. The suite is best suited for solo travelers, but we can accommodate an additional guest for a fee, for up to a week maximum.

COMFORTABLE INDOORS
The building is equipped with a commercial-grade HVAC system and central heat and air conditioning, which is rare for the area. There is a ceiling fan and portable HEPA air purifier in the room. We are on Manchester city water and have a septic system for wastewater treatment.

TEMPUR-PEDIC BED
The suite is outfitted with a queen mattress, double blackout curtains, and blackout blinds. Earplugs and a white noise machine are available.

WORK-FROM-HOME SETUP / DINING AREA
The work-from-home elevated desk setup can be converted to a dining setup for two at request. There are sitting areas both inside and outside on the spacious patio.

KITCHENETTE
The kitchenette is stocked with pantry essentials, a PUR water filter, basic food prep tools, and appliances. We are happy to swap out your used dishes and utensils so you don't need to wash them.

ON-SITE LAUNDRY
We are happy to replenish towels as needed and run a load of laundry for you for every week of your stay, or for a cost of $10 per load.

NOT A HOTEL
We set up the space to host family & friends, and over time, began hosting returning Airbnb guests who wanted priority access to Shiyi's baked goods :) When you stay with us, we'll treat you like family; we'll be checking in to make sure that you're comfortable and having a great time. The only thing we ask in return is that you treat the space and the property with the same level of respect by following our house rules.

Getting around

From Southworth Ferry Terminal:
- 26 min walk-on ferry to Seattle Center (Pier 50)
- 15 min car ferry to Vashon Island
- 30-35 min car ferry to West Seattle

From our property:
- 40 min drive to Tacoma: Museum of Glass, Point Defiance Park and Zoo, antique malls
- 40 min drive to Green Mountain State Park, for access to excellent hikes with views of the Olympic mountains
- 75 min drive to Quilcene, the Lake Cushman area, for access to excellent hikes in the Olympic National Forest and National Park
- 70 min drive to historic Port Townsend and the cider route
- 2 hour drive to Port Angeles and the ferry to Victoria, B.C.
- 2 hour drive to Hurricane Ridge Visitor's Center in Olympic National Park, Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Hot Springs
- 3 hour drive to La Push, Pacific beaches, and the Hoh Rain Forest
- 2 hour drive to Mt. Rainier National Park

Most people who visit will come by car, but it is possible to get around without one using local public transportation or rideshares, with careful planning.

Public transit from SeaTac Airport:

1) Take the Link train into Pioneer Square. Walk to Pier 50 and take the Kitsap Fast Ferry to Southworth. *Note: This ferry does not run on Sundays and has a limited schedule.

2) Take the #560 bus to Westwood Village for a transfer onto the C-Line bus which will take you to the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal in West Seattle (~45mins total). Walk on to the ferry to Southworth.

3) The Bremerton-Kitsap Airporter shuttle service will drop off at the 76 gas station in Port Orchard (234 Bravo Terrace SE, Port Orchard, WA 98367). Take a rideshare service or the #8 into town and then the #86 bus.

Local public transit: Kitsap Transit bus #86 will pick up or drop off at the bottom of our street and can take you to and from Southworth Ferry Dock and downtown Port Orchard. Check bus schedule for limited operating times.

Other options: App rideshares operate in the area and costs between $15-20 for a car, one-way, to/from Southworth Ferry Dock. If needed, we can arrange pickup/drop off for you at locations within a reasonable radius!

There are excellent routes for road cycling around the area and you’ll often spot commuters and recreational riders on the ferries. As avid cyclists, we would be happy to offer tips and help you plan out your rides!

Check In: Flexible

Preferred check-in is after 3pm, but we are happy to accommodate your schedule if you provide advanced notice. I will be greeting you on arrival so if you could keep me updated on your ETA, that would be much appreciated!

The space is primarily set up for single occupancy, but we are happy to host up to two persons who don't mind sharing a queen bed, for up to one week.

House Rules

Please take off shoes indoors.
No spraying/burning fragrances indoors.
No smoking/vaping within property limits (OK on the access road).
White towels are for bath use only.

Pet Rules:
- Please be a responsible pet owner with control over your pet
- Off-leash is OK, but pets must be supervised for their safety, as the property is not fenced and there are wild animals that roam in our rural community

Failure to follow the house rules may result in additional charges and/or termination of your reservation.

Payment Policy

Payment for the reservation is due at booking. Please provide the information for your preferred payment method, and the agreed upon cost of the reservation will be sent as a request for payment. You will be notified that your booking is confirmed once we receive the payment. The security deposit can be sent as a different request for payment at the time of your arrival.

Paypal: You may want to look into your credit card to see if you might have trip cancellation or trip interruption insurance. If not, it may be worth purchasing insurance in case of emergency, illness, or bad weather. There is a no refund policy, unless another party is able to book your reservation dates. Refunds are only issued in the rare case of a mandatory evacuation in the area.

Cancellation Policy

There is a no refund policy. In case of a guest cancellation, we will reopen the dates on the calendar. If some or all of the dates are re-booked by another party, then an appropriate refund will be considered.
