The Gulf straight out front, off the living and dining rooms. The balcony wraps around the corner to a second, north-facing section.
Take the private boardwalk over the dune and you're on the sand in under a minute. No crossing a road, no hunting for parking.
Sink into the sofa and you can still see the water — the glass runs the whole wall, so the Gulf is in the room whether you're outside or not.
Wake up, pull the slider, and step straight onto the balcony. The primary opens onto the north section, over the parking deck.
Spread out on the granite and actually cook — full-size range, dishwasher, and a bar for whoever wanders in first.
Follow the rail around the corner. The north section looks inland over the parking deck and the tree line.
Pull up a chair and stay a while. Four seats, one table, and a horizon that changes every hour of the day.
Duck under the shade when the sun gets serious, then slide back out. You get both, all day.
Look out from five floors up with nothing between you and the sand but sea oats. No filter on this one.
Watch the umbrellas go up in the morning from five floors above the sand. You'll be down there in ten minutes.
Head back inside without going anywhere — the sliders open the whole wall, so the balcony becomes part of the room.
Park in the lot out front or in our own covered space underneath, ride up five floors, and you're home. Phoenix V sits directly on the Gulf.
Come in off Perdido Beach Boulevard and you're already there — a lot out front, our own covered space below, elevators, and the sand out the back.
Cook, eat, and sprawl without leaving the conversation — it all opens to each other and out to the balcony.
Slide the glass open and let the Gulf in — the balcony reads as another room once those doors are back.
Drop into a seat with the water in front of you and let the afternoon go. Nobody's in a hurry here.
Perch at the bar with a drink while somebody else works the stove. Four stools, one conversation.
Stretch out after a day in the salt — everyone fits, and nobody's perched on an arm.
Turn a movie on when the sun finally wins. Ceiling fans, cool air, and somewhere to land.
Set a drink on the bar and keep talking — the counter runs long enough that cooking never means leaving the room.
Reach for a pan and find one — full-size appliances and counter space for two people working at once.
Unload the groceries onto real granite. Enough room to cook a full dinner without stacking things.
Fill the fridge for the week — full-size, with an icemaker for the cooler you'll haul down to the sand.
Pass the plates around the table with the balcony doors open. Dinner tastes better when you can hear the water.
Seat six at the table and four more at the bar — everybody eats at once, nobody balances a plate on a knee.
Fall into the king after a day in the salt and sun. Close it up and sleep as late as you want.
Step from the bed to your own bath without crossing the hall. The primary keeps its own.
Rinse the salt off at a granite vanity with real counter space, then get on with your evening.
Put the kids in here and stop negotiating — two queens, their own space, and the door closes.
Claim a bed, drop the bag, and head for the sand. Two queens with room to move between them.
Move the second group in here and everybody still gets a real bed. No air mattresses, no drawing straws.
Give the third group their own room and their own queen. Everybody gets a door.
Sleep in to window light and take your time — this one stays quiet in the mornings.
Hang a week's worth of clothes and stop living out of the suitcase. Closet space in every room.
Send someone to the second full bath and stop queuing — two of them means nobody waits on anybody.
Grab a towel and go. Stocked, lit, and stocked again before you arrive.
Run a load of sandy towels mid-week instead of hauling them home. In-unit washer and dryer, right down the hall.
Let yourself in with a code — no key handoff, no meeting anyone, no matter how late the flight lands.
Cook a real dinner instead of eating out every night. The range and the counter beside it earn their keep.
Wash the sand off a cooler in a double sink deep enough to actually use.
Stock it for the week on the way in — the Publix is ten minutes back up the road.

About this place

A corner unit five floors above the sand, where the balcony wraps the building and the Gulf runs the whole wall of glass. Wake up, slide the door back, and the water is already there — no road to cross, no beach parking to hunt, just a private walkover through the sea oats and your feet are on the sand. Three bedrooms, two baths, room for eight, and a stretch of Orange Beach that most of the building never sees from this angle.

The space
Unit 501 sits on the corner of Phoenix V, which is why this balcony does something most gulf-front units cannot. The main leg runs off the living and dining rooms and looks straight at the water; round the corner, a second section gives you shade when the sun gets serious. Sun and shade all day without leaving your own balcony — four chairs, a table, and that is where most of your week happens.

Inside, the living room, dining room and kitchen open to each other, so nobody cooks alone. The sliders run nearly the full wall — open them and the balcony becomes another room, with a sectional and a loveseat that seat eight.

The kitchen is set up for a real week, not a weekend of takeout: granite counters wrapping a peninsula with bar seating, a range and oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a refrigerator with an icemaker for the beach cooler. Six at the table plus four at the bar means everyone eats at once.

Sleeping splits three ways so nobody draws straws. The primary has a king, its own bathroom and its own slider onto the balcony. The second holds two queens with room between them — the kids' room, and the door closes. The third has a single king and stays quiet in the mornings. Both bathrooms have granite vanities and real counter space, and there is laundry in the unit — sandy towels get washed mid-week.

One honest note: 501 is being renovated, finishing in November 2026, and these photos show it as it stands today, before that work.

Best for: two families traveling together — three separate sleeping groups, two full baths, a kitchen where two can cook at once. Families with small children — the splash pad, the pools, and a beach you reach by boardwalk, not by crossing a road. Multi-generational trips — the primary suite has its own bath and balcony access. Shoulder-season weeks — laundry in the unit and a real kitchen make a full week workable, and November through February is when this stretch of beach is at its emptiest.

Guest access
You have the whole unit — three bedrooms, both bathrooms, kitchen, living and dining rooms, and both legs of the wraparound balcony. Check-in is self check-in with a keypad code — no key handoff, no meeting anyone, however late the flight lands. Phoenix V guests also have the pools, the hot tub, the splash pad and the private dune walkover.

Parking comes with the building's $55 registration at the front desk, which puts one car on the open surface lot. Our guests also get something most units here can't offer: our own deeded space in the covered garage underneath, free for one car. Tell the desk our space is part of your stay when you register and they'll issue the pass. Bringing a second car? Message us first — the building charges another registration for it.

Other things to note
Phoenix V is replacing windows and sliding doors building-wide and restoring the exterior, finishing May 2027. Unit 501's own turn comes early: new impact glazing and a full interior refresh, done in November 2026. We do not open a single night until that work is finished — the earliest bookable date is November 23 — so whatever dates you reserve, you walk into the completed unit.

What that means for your stay: weekday construction elsewhere in the building, crews on site, some noise and dust, and work platforms on other sections at times. In winter the ground-level pool and splash pad are partially closed for overhead protection. We would rather tell you now than have you find out at check-in.
