Cottage by the Beach-HOT TUB/ PET-KID Friendly - Rockaway Beach

This is a unique, quirky house that is 100 years old. Three and a half bedroom house , 2 kings, 1 queen. In the day room there is a day bed w two twin beds (trundle). Small tv upstairs in day room (not a bedroom) and large tv downstairs. No laundry on premises for guest use. Games, books, and all the kitchen necessities you need. Condiments, olive/veg oil, spices, coffee and a few other things. We have aerial photo of the yard to see how the layout is for the neighbors, there is not a fence. This is a shared yard with multiple small houses. Guest of the small house can walk by large patio and hot tub. There is no way around this since it's a shared yard. It has a community feel. The guests in the small house can not use the large patio, hot tub or bbq.

Heat for the house- The gas stove is controlled with a wall thermostat. And there are also wall heaters in most rooms (during the winter at check-in turn those on right away. Extra portable heater for winter use.

1-minute walk to the beach. We provide sand toys for the kids.

If the tide is in and you’re upstairs, you’ll get a small ocean view from a tiny window. You can hear the ocean at night with windows open. It’s so lovely.

If bringing a pet, please select so and pay the Pet fee. You can bring multiple pets. If you have super hairy pets there's a vacuum in the downstairs closet if needed.

Only two cars allowed at our property. There isn't room for any more with out blocking your view. Street parking is not allowed.

The back patio and hot tub is for large house (cottage) only. If there are any issues with this please let us know immediately (hasn't happened yet).

We would like to discuss the house cleaning fee, hot tub fee and pet fees. We understand these fees are frustrating. We are only charging what we are charged to maintain the property. We love our housekeeper and she works hard. We would prefer to have someone we trust and be there for our guests if needed in an emergency situation. Because of the fees we do try and keep our nightly prices lower than the other properties this close to the beach. Thank you for your understanding.

As a sidenote, there are signs around towns for complaints for short-term rentals. These phone numbers are for locals to call if people are having parties. If you have need us, please use the phone number on the fridge or in binder.
