You may encounter colorful butterflies, majestic moths, singing cicadas (especially during the dry season), squawking parrots, and howler monkeys that might just become your natural alarm clock at sunrise. Large grasshoppers, spiders, ants, and scorpions are also common. The house is regularly treated/sprayed for critter removal, but remember that this is a jungle.
