About this place

New modern 3 bedroom family vacation home on a secluded mountain ridge with stunning views and complete privacy, yet close to Tagaytay amenities

The space
⭐Bedrooms⭐
The house has 3 bedrooms. We provide linens, towels, and basic bathroom supplies (tissue, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash)
✓ Master Bedroom with king-sized bed
✓ 2nd Bedroom with 4 x single stackable beds (can be combined into a single queen sized bed)
✓ 3rd bedroom with bunk bed and additional trundle bed
extra roll-up floor mattress

⭐Meals⭐
Twin Lakes Tagaytay is only 5 min away, with easy access to a supermarket, 7-11, Starbucks, Santis, and ~15 restaurants. Plus so many great restaurants available in the Tagaytay area. We also cook or bbq fairly frequently at the house, hence it is provided with a full kitchen with good quality appliances and kitchenware, plus a charcoal bbq on the patio outside. We try to keep a decent selection of basic seasonings, cooking oil, coffee, etc which our guests are welcome to use

⭐Power⭐
The house has a substantial solar power system, with a large (10kwh) battery that can power the entire house. However in case of brownout (particularly in bad weather when the solar production is low) we encourage you to conserve power to ensure the batteries and solar can support the power demand. We can't guarantee that the battery backup power will be sufficient to survive long brownouts

⭐Internet⭐
Starlink internet is provided at the house and the pool deck. Smart mobile signal is generally quite good, Globe is available but less reliable

⭐Pool Deck⭐
The property has a separate covered pool / party deck located along the ridge a little below the house and connected with a concrete lighted pathway. The pool is a heated (warm enough to swim comfortably, not hottub temp) saltwater pool (low chlorination) with bubbles and water massage jets, and a spectacular view. The pool deck also has a large seating area with comfortable couches, a fireplace, a karaoke machine, and a full CR with heated shower

⭐Caretaker⭐
Our house has a friendly and helpful full-time caretaker. He stays in a separate house on the property up by the road. He is always close enough to help, but otherwise distant enough to give our guests complete privacy to enjoy the property. He speaks Tagalog and passable English

⭐Accessibility⭐
Our house is set in from the road, which makes it incredibly private and beautifully peaceful. But this does require walking 50m along a paved path from the parking area and descending 45 steps. From the parking you go down 14 steps, then follow a flat concrete path along the ridge, then go down another 41 steps (split into 3 sections with landings between) to arrive at the house level. All these stairs have a concrete railing on one or both sides.

The pool deck and fireplace is a separate structure from the house, and is connected with another paved path (with 10 steps and some sloping areas, concrete railings on both sides along the entire way).

The house itself is a split level layout, with the master bedroom up a half floor from the main living area, and the 2 additional bedrooms down half a floor from the main living area. Our caretaker will be happy to help you with your bags and belongings, and our elderly parents do just fine at the house. But if you have difficulty with mobility and stairs, the house may pose some challenges

Please also note that the house is located on the crest of a mountain ridge, which is why we have such fantastic views. We feel the property is reasonably safe, and our kids have been playing here without incident even when the house was still under construction. But there are some steep areas. If you have small or active kids, or intoxicated friends, they may need some reasonable supervision

Please also provide adequate supervision in the pool area and use at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty

⭐ Parking⭐
The main parking area can comfortably fit 2 large or 3 mid-size vehicles. if you need more parking we have additional space on the property for a couple more cars

⭐Climate⭐
The house is provided with split-type inverter aircon in all of the bedrooms, but not in the living areas. In reality, the climate at top of the mountain is generally quite cool, and the living areas have a ton of windows that let in a strong breeze. More often than not we are closing the windows because we want to keep the house a little warmer, we rarely use the aircon. We would suggest you bring long pants and sweaters for the evenings

⭐The Forest⭐
Our house is surrounded by largely untouched forest. As such it is common to see all kinds of birds, lizards, insects, etc around the property. The house is fully screened to control insects, and generally the ridge-top location is quite breezy, which helps control mosquitos. Nonetheless the outdoor areas may have various insects, particularly at certain times of year and in the evenings. Our caretaker is happy to provide insect coils if needed

Getting around

Coming from the Tagaytay-Nasugbu highway, you turn south onto Diokno Highway. Then proceed only 500m and turn right onto the first small road. This is immediately after the bridge and heads up a small hill. Follow the small road straight and down for 1km and you will find our parking area with signage visible on the right side (the house isn't visible from the road).

We suggest you message Jayson (+63 985 563 0150) when you are on your way so he knows when to expect you
