Chuck's Cabin in a Joshua Tree Community - Twentynine Palms

Welcome to Chucks Cabin close to Joshua Tree, a home away from home stay. Nestled in the heart of rural city of Twentynine Palms, in a Joshua tree community, this Cabin is located close to hiking trails of JT such as the Forty Nine Palms Oasis, (less than a mile away from the trail head), and Indian Cove that has rock climbing facilities. Centrally located, minutes away from the North and West Entrance of Joshua Tree, the Mohave Preserve, and the 29 palms Sky’s the Limit Observatory.

The space
Enjoy harmony as you are surrounded by desert landscapes and nature at this 2.5-acre property. Views of stunning sunsets and cacti, from the window walls wrap this cosy High Desert home.

This property sits between the west (15-minute drive) and the north entrance to Joshua Tree National Park (5-minute drive) and is less than a mile away from signature hiking trails the 49 Palms Oasis and the Indian Cove campgrounds that also have great rock climbing amenities.

Step into this 1950 midcentury cabin that is approximately 1000 square feet, the entrance is through the living area, which is a huge open-plan room overlooking the kitchen and dining area. The dining area opens out to the back patio with breathtaking scenic views of the Mojave Desert and Joshua Tree Mountains. The cabin has a well-equipped kitchen Cook your favorite meals with ease using our appliances and cookware and is tastefully decorated in southwestern colors.

In one section of the living area, there is a queen-size day-bed for guests to sleep on. The living room is furnished with couches and, an armoire with entertainment, such as a flat-screen TV and sound system.

From the living area, to the right there is a small hallway entrance to the bathroom, and to the left the huge master bedroom with a king bed. This bedroom leads to the outdoor patio that has amazing views of the rural Mohave desert landscape. This patio has comfortable patio furniture to relax in and provides great stargazing views.

This private relaxing retreat location allows you to reconnect and recenter with nature taking center stage. This cabin has been designed to enjoy the natural landscape with large windows and open glass sliding doors,

The house has black out drapes for privacy. We ask that all guests be careful walking around the property as cactus are numerous. Please leave no trace on the grounds and respect the desert and the wildlife.

As part of our sustainable tourism efforts, we support our local community, therefore this cabin is named after, our famous local and world artist, Chuck Caplinger. His signature artwork is displayed in the cabin. A series of his paintings were featured in Southwest Art Magazine, and his “Tribute to Marilyn” mural was exhibited in the Hollywood Entertainment Museum in Los Angeles.

Guest access
The cabin is private guest house, guests have access to all spaces in the cabin, including a patio. The guests have their own private driveway and parking spaces.The guests of the cabin have private entrance to the nature trail on the property. This guest house cabin, is next to the main house of the property that is also listed as an Airbnb .The cabin and the house are completely private each has its own private entrance , drive way and parking space.

Other things to note
As you host, I am delighted you chosen my home for your vacation or work-stay. We appreciate our neighbors and respect their peace and privacy. Therefore, this home is not suited for large groups or to have parties, or any function that would disturb the peace of the neighboring community.

I, support sustainable tourist practices therefore, Off-Road Vehicles is not permitted to be used on the property or the neighboring community.

Please note the city has an ordinance on Off Road Vehicles that points out zones where you can use these vehicles. This information is available upon check in, in the home rules. As part of the reservation process the host will sent you a link to review the house rules and policies that you will have to sign at check in.
