Hiking trails lead along the Maggia Valley in the immediate vicinity of the house.
The beaches of the Maggia, which are within walking distance, as well as a picturesque waterfall about 500 metres from the house, are ideal for swimming in summer.
On rainy days, an efficient infrared heater and the fireplace in the living room help to create an exceptionally cosy atmosphere. The shopping centre in Maggia, bank, pharmacy, post office, bakery, Coop, Migros, Denner, are five minutes away by car, the Vallemaggia bus stop 315 can be reached on foot in approx. 20 minutes, Locarno and Ascona are approx. 12 km away.
Despite this proximity to the achievements of our civilisation, the village of Aurigeno itself has a soothing tranquillity that allows the human spirit to recover from the stresses and strains of everyday life.
Excursion possibilities:
Swimming in the river Maggia 15 minutes on foot, hiking, 40 km of cycle paths, waterfall in Aurigeno and in Maggia
