Casa El Coyote, Off the grid House with private pool in Baja California Sur, Mexico
Casa El Coyote is located in the community of Castillo de Arena, 15km south of Cabo Pulmo, and 51km from SJD Airport in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
With 3BDRM and one queen sofa bed upstairs sitting area, our house sleeps comfortably 6 to 8 people. Well equipped kitchen and large living area overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Plenty of outdoor terrace space, a private heated pool and a covered porch for outdoor dining, suntanning or relaxing. The top terrace offers spectacular sunrise & sunset views. Two full baths and two outdoor showers. The house is in a quiet and safe area, perfect for family gathering or a friends group vacation. It is surrounded by majestic views of the ocean and the desert. Easy access to sand dunes and unspoiled, swimmable beaches.
3 spacious bedrooms sleep comfortably 7 people (2 queen, 1 double, 1 twin). The upstairs sitting area (separate from living area on main floor) has a sofa bed that converts to 2 twins or 1 queen, that is perfect for kids (TV & games available).
The entire area around Cabo Pulmo National Park (our house included) is off-grid and runs on solar power. Our house is fully equipped to host guests that are interested in spending a low impact vacation: solar generated power, water catchment and composting systems in our fully fenced, beautifully landscaped and secured garden.
The Camino Cabo Este road is an unpaved (but frequently graded) road and a 4WD or a high clearance car is recommended to tour the East Cape area.
20 minutes drive to Cabo Pulmo, 1hr 15min to SJD airport.
Water and Electricity conservation is strongly encouraged.
No air conditioning in the house. Ceiling fans in upstairs bedrooms (2x) and living area (2x). Additional floor fans (3x) available where needed.
Fully equipped kitchen. Because all appliances run on solar power, no microwave, hairdryer or toaster (camping toaster is available) are allowed in the house.
Drip, French press and Italian coffee makers available for coffee lovers. Blender is available (who doesn't want a Margarita on a sunny day?!).
Washing machine use is allowed during peak sun hours ONLY (10:30 am-3pm).
Use of pool is allowed from 8am to 9pm. Pool cover is required when pool not in use to avoid water evaporation and maintain water temperature. There is no daily maintenance of pool. Pool is not currently gated, minors should be supervised at ALL times around the pool.
The house is equipped with outdoor cameras for security purposes only. Gated entrance and private shaded parking.
This is not Cabo San Lucas. No loud parties allowed.
