The cabin is a split-level home. The 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are tucked away in the upper level, accessible by 8 steps, ensuring privacy. Sleeps up to 8 guests. Primary bedroom has its own small deck and an attached bathroom.
The primary bedroom has a king-size bed, one bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the last bedroom has a twin-size bunk bed (110-lb weight limit for the top bunk). The living room has a queen sofa bed. The living room has a large smart TV.
The house is kid-friendly, and we have provided puzzles and board games for your enjoyment! Parents: please supervise your kids around the wood stove (winter use only) and the stairs.
There is a lot to do nearby! We are a 20-minute drive from downtown Sonora, 25 minutes from Black Oak Casino, 20 minutes from Pinecrest Lake & Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, and 90 minutes from Yosemite National Park. Numerous trails nearby.
Very quiet residential neighborhood surrounded by towering pines. Somewhat steep driveway. 4 Wheel drive is highly recommended for all seasons, and is a must in winter.
Guests have access to the entire cabin except for a few spaces that are separate from the main areas, which are locked for private use.
If you need to do laundry, guests are welcome to use the washer and dryer. Please follow the instructions. Our property is not fenced on the back side, so please respect our neighbors' yards.
NOTE FOR SUMMER GUESTS
Twain Harte Lake is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends. Advance registration is required for access to Twain Harte Lake, and they collect a fee ($10 in 2025) per guest. You will receive a form in advance of your stay to register for the days you plan to use the lake and the names of the guests who will be in attendance. All guests must be registered ahead of time, and payment can be made at the lake gatehouse upon entering the Lake property. Lake rules must be strictly followed when using the lake, as misuse could result in the owner losing their lake membership. Please see THLake.org for more details. Violation of this provision shall be grounds for expedited eviction and forfeiture of all monies paid and appropriate additional penalties.
NOTE FOR WINTER GUESTS
- All Wheel Drive is a must. Check the Caltrans website for chain-use advisories and road conditions.
- Use Woodwardia Road to access the property. Other roads may not be plowed.
The driveway will be plowed when guests check in. If it snows afterward, shovels and salt will be available for guests to use.
- A small bundle of firewood is provided as complementary to use the indoor fireplace. Bring your own firewood for more use.

- Please note that a signed renter agreement is required upon booking confirmation. Additionally, a security deposit of $500 (a hold only on the card that will start 2 days prior to check-in) may be required for your stay.The hold will be released 6 days after checkout.
- The property is located elevated from the access road, which enhances the views from the property. So be aware that driveway is somewhat steep as seen in the pictures. So, caution should be exercised while getting in and backing off from the property.
• NO FIRES ALLOWED outside. Do not light a bonfire or campfire on the property. No smoking is allowed. Guests may only use the propane grill for cooking outdoors. Please do not use the fireplace in summer.

• It gets really dark out here at night, so bring a flashlight!
