Black Bear Ridge - Bryson City

Black Bear Ridge is small, charming, mountain retreat, which accommodates up to three people. It is located in the Smoky Mountains on private property, yet only a few miles from historic downtown Bryson City. The kitchen is fully functional and there are several restaurants for dining in or take-out. Support staff are just a phone call away. A secured key box is accessible for guest at all times. A number code is given to the guest.

The space
Cabin is surrounded by tall pines and hardwood trees on private property. Beautiful mountain laurel, rhododendron, flaming azaleas and many other plants and shrubs can be seen in season. Animals including deer, racoon, fox, elk, wolf and black bears have been spotted from time to time. There are many local attractions close by including Harrah's Casino, Cherokee Indian Reservation, Nantahala White Water Rafting, Zip Line, Smoky Mountain Railway, Tubing at Deep Creek State Park, The Road to Nowhere and many other places to fish and hike.

Guest access
Entire cabin except one closet where the owner stores cleaning supplies and personal belongings is open to guest.

Other things to note
Code to key box will be given to guest after arrival information is complete and at least 24 hours before arrival. We ask guest to replace keys back in the box when they depart.

We do have internet (WiFi) provided by Zito Media ,WiFi is unlimited internet but it maybe slow down and be spotty. Not suggested for gaming.

We provide starter paper towels and toilet paper. Additional items must be provided by guest.

We have dishes (Set of 4) that must be washed and placed in proper location.

Be sure to check all drawers and closets for personal items.

Any damaged or broken items must be reported to the owners.

Place thermostat on 55 degrees in winter and 85 degrees in summer.
Replace all moved furniture.
All trash must be removed from the cabin upon departure.

Garbage dumpsters are located on 1422 Old Highway 19 past Ingles Grocery Store on the right. Open 9- 7 Mon- Sat. Sun 1-5. Call Swain County Waste Management for holiday closings.

No Pets allowed.

No smoking inside or out.
Fire ring may be used for cooking so burn wood only. ( No plastic, cloth, glass etc.) Wood must be provided by guest unless it is already there from a prior guest, or downfall. Only built fires in the fire ring. Remember our property connects to the National Forest and it would be unfortunate and illegal to cause a wildfire.

We are often ask about Bears, Elk, Boar, snakes and other wild animals.
