The living area has amazing natural light, but there are blinds if you want privacy. With the main queen bed and the couch that converts to a queen bed, this 470 square foot guest house can comfortably sleep up to 4 people.

If you decide to cook, the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies and equipment. However if cooking is not your thing, there are many restaurants & coffee shops steps away on Alberta Street.

For families with young children, we offer some amenities for children including books & toys, room darkening shades in the bedroom, children's dinnerware and a pack 'n play (upon request).

We provide some basics for your stay including coffee, tea and a few snacks. See the amenities section of the listing for more details.

There are blackout curtains in the bedroom. Even with blinds on the windows, guests sleeping on the sofa bed may wish to bring a sleep eye mask if they want to sleep before sunset or after sunrise.

Access to the guest house is down the driveway on the left of the main house. You have full access to the 1 bedroom Alberta Nest guest house. The French doors open to your own fenced semi-private courtyard with patio seating. You may hear us in our backyard and we might hear you in yours. But it's not a bother to us.

We have a smart lock and you will have your own code to access the guest house during your visit.

We may check-in to make sure everything is ok during your stay. If we are around, we would love to meet you and hear about your travels. But we also are happy to give you your privacy and space. If you see us outside in the back or front yard, feel free to say hi.

Amazing location! We are in the heart of the Alberta Arts District in Portland. The neighborhood centers on Alberta Street, and stretches from approximately MLK Jr. Blvd to 33rd Ave in the Northeast section of the city. We are steps away from many cafes, breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, bike shops, galleries & boutiques. One block from Salt & Straw Ice Cream & Proud Mary restaurant!

There is usually ample free street parking within 1 block of the guest house. During festivals or busy times of day, available street parking may be 2 blocks away.

Walking, bicycling, taking transit, taxis & Uber/Lyft are all great options to get around. We are 2 blocks from the closest bus stop. There are many great bike routes nearby including the Going Street Greenway. We are within the Biketown bike share zone. Our guest house is 5 miles form downtown Portland, 7 miles from the Portland International Airport, 3 miles from the Convention Center and 5 miles from the Expo Center. All of these destinations are usually only a 10-20 minute drive depending on traffic.

Lorell's pronouns are she/her and Jason's are he/him. We invite you to share your pronouns with us when you book.

Access to our guest house is up our narrow driveway, which has a short steep slope at the beginning. There is one step up to the guest house (both front and back doors). Due to the narrow driveway, it is not possible to drive tup the driveway even for drop-off. The front door of the guest house is about 80 feet from the sidewalk.

We have a dog. He doesn’t go inside the guesthouse or in the guesthouse fenced area. You might hear him from time to time.

We are in the landing path for some airplanes into PDX airport. Often, you can hear a few planes landing between 5 and 7 pm.

As per Airbnb policy, we require reservations booked for personal travel to be booked by the person who's going to stay at the listing. For business trips, Airbnb allows designated bookers at companies enrolled in Airbnb for Business to book trips on behalf of others.

As part of our Type A Accessory Short-Term Rental permit, The City of Portland requires that Alberta Nest LLC keep and maintain a guest log book that includes the names and home addresses of guests, guest's license plate numbers if traveling by car, dates of stay, and the room assigned to each guest. The log must be available for inspection by City staff upon request. There will be a log book form for you to fill out when you arrive.
