About this place
A-frame sleeps 3 - Queen + single foam mattress
Enjoy natural luxurious camping 1600 ft above sea level in this brand new 12x12 off-grid A-frame perched high in a dense secluded forest with panoramic views of the Catskill Mountains. A short 2.5 hours from NYC.
A unique eco-friendly romantic get-a-way for couples a family with child, or 3 friends.
This is one of 4 unique structures on our 4 acre family farm. Every guest, has their own parking spot, and sparkling clean port-a-potty for your private use only.
Off grid heater is available.
This is our 4th and newest glamping cabin on the farm.
For the true glamping experience sleep on the premium queen sized real mattress. (we also provide a set of fresh clean sheets, duvet and pillows.)
If you are bringing your child, let us know and we will set up the single floor foam mattress most comfortable for little ones between 10 and 13 years of age. (we do not recommend the A-frame for children under 10 years old for safety reasons).
Each glamp site is spaced more than 150 feet apart for optimal privacy.
If you're here during a clear night, you will be dazzled by star gazing and wonder in awe at how clearly you can see the Milky Way from our field.
Another highly commented aspect about the A-frame is the unique atmosphere and interesting sounds of nature which is not heard in our other 3 glamp sites.
You will hear birds singing soothing chirps and other critters like owls, tree frogs, crickets and others. It's like a surround-sound mediation retreat in a lost world.
Highlights:
- Queen sized mattress with full bedding. (+ single foam floor mattress)
- Indoor eating table and 2 chairs
- 2 outdoor zero gravity lounge chairs.
- Sink basin with access to water storage tap.
- Real port-a-potty style toilet 130 feet from the A-frame. (shared with one other cabin)
- Propane Coleman mini outdoor stove
- Complimentary 4 gallon cooler, pre-filled with frozen blue ice packs.
- Complimentary 1 gallon of drinking water.
- Lantern (with USB charger)
- Hosts live on-site and can help or advise at any given time.
Because the A-frame is very secluded in a dense forest, guests must be comfortable walking 130 feet down hill, on uneven surfaces, to reach the cabin. Also, this path must be also taken to reach the port-a-potty.
We are not responsible for the discomforts of nature (including but not limited to weather, bugs, etc)
Other things to note:
Note: Campfires are NOT ALLOWED to be made by guests at any time. At this elevation in the mountains the wind can get quite strong. This is why we provide a propane gas mini stove for your cooking needs.
We do a lot of preparation to keep critters out because this structure is in the middle of nature, do be prepared to meet insects (flying and crawling), with the occasional cameo appearance of a country mouse.

Meet the Host
I began hosting guests in my New York home back in 2009. My first guests were two students from the Czech Republic who stayed one week. In 2010 I hosted 5 international students from Turkey. They were hosted for 3 months because they came for Work And Travel program.
In 2020 I started a glamp ground in the Catskill Mountains of New York. Today I have 5 unique structures and hosted more than 700 couples. I also have a Youtube channel called THE GLAMP MAN where I discuss the business side of STRs.
