Nestled in the quiet, treed subdivision of Silverhills, this home offers a peaceful "mountain-suburban" feel that perfectly balances seclusion with accessibility.
Silver Eagle Court is known for its serene, "silent zone" atmosphere, where the only sounds you're likely to hear are the wind through the pines and the local wildlife.
A Quiet High-Country Retreat The neighborhood features a unique Green Belt area for residents and guests, providing extra space to enjoy the natural landscape. Because the streets are primarily residential and well-maintained, you’ll enjoy a sense of privacy that’s hard to find closer to the city center.
Historical Charm Meets Modern Adventure Just a few miles away, you’ll find the heart of Historic Downtown Leadville. As a former silver mining boomtown, Leadville’s Harrison Avenue is lined with preserved Victorian architecture, locally owned boutiques, and cozy eateries like the Golden Burro or Treeline Kitchen.
Proximity to the Peaks From your front door, you are perfectly positioned for year-round recreation:
Water & Trails: Less than 10 minutes to Turquoise Lake for summer boating and fishing, or the Mineral Belt Trail—an 11.6-mile paved loop that weaves through the historic mining district.
The Big Peaks: You are at the doorstep of the Sawatch Range, home to Mount Elbert and Mount Massive, the two highest peaks in Colorado.
Winter Sports: Skip the crowds of the major resorts. Ski Cooper is just 15 minutes away, offering authentic Colorado skiing with a family-friendly vibe.
Whether you’re here to tackle a "Fourteener" or simply want a quiet place to watch the squirrels from the deck, the Silverhills neighborhood provides a calm, authentic alpine experience.
Getting Around
Leadville is a high-altitude destination where a vehicle is highly recommended to make the most of the area’s rugged terrain and local attractions.
Vehicle Recommendations
4WD/AWD Highly Suggested: While the neighborhood roads are maintained, Leadville receives significant snowfall from October through May. A vehicle with Four-Wheel Drive or All-Wheel Drive and good tires is strongly recommended for navigating mountain passes and winter weather safely.
Parking: You’ll have access to private driveway parking at the home, so there’s no need to worry about finding street parking.
Proximity & Travel Times
Downtown Leadville (5 mins): The historic center is a quick drive away. While downtown is very walkable once you arrive, the neighborhood is tucked away, making a car necessary for the short trip to restaurants and groceries.
Turquoise Lake (8 mins): An easy drive for summer recreation or winter snowshoeing.
Ski Cooper (15 mins): A straightforward, scenic drive north on Hwy 24.
Summit County & Vail (35–50 mins): Copper Mountain, Frisco, and Vail are all reachable via well-traveled mountain highways, perfect for day trips.
Local Transport Options
Shuttle Services: For those arriving from Denver International Airport (DIA), private mountain shuttles (like Epic Mountain Express or Peak 1 Express) offer transport to nearby Frisco, where you can then take a local taxi or car service to Leadville.
Rideshare: Please note that Uber and Lyft are extremely limited to non-existent in Leadville. It is best to rely on your own vehicle or local taxi services.
Biking: During the summer, the Mineral Belt Trail offers a scenic, non-motorized way to see the town and mining district, accessible by a short ride from the neighborhood.
Note on Altitude: You’ll be staying at over 10,000 feet. If you are driving up from sea level, take it slow, stay hydrated, and enjoy the scenic pull-offs along the Top of the Rockies Scenic Byway!
